Cracking match, incredible strike from Xhaka and lovely finish from Shaq, pleased for him and for me as I had just stick a few quid on Swiss a few minutes previous.
Serbia got to feel wounded about the mitrovic pen though.

Wonder what it'd take to persuade the fella to stay? Given the freedom to play in his preferred role, under a manager who can see that that's the way to get the absolute best out of him, he'd tear the Championship apart. Not a prayer.

Seriously, let's face it, he is leaving pretty much no matter what (barring bad injury). I'm hoping he has 10 more goals this tournament. More money for us. I like the little guy too. Doesn't he have a release clause??? Wouldn't really matter how good a tournament he has if he does!!!Up till now no club has been prepared to buy him at his release clause price have they? Now they might. If he had a dreadful WC, and he got slated for his performance in his first match, no club might be prepared to meet the price.

Oh I guess I didn't understand the relegation release clause then, I figured if offered by one club, another club would have an opportunity to outbid. Heh, I'm not used to relegation ...

Because if any club was prepared to pay £12m they would have bought him before now. Now we might get his release price. He wouldn't have signed for anyone else pre-World cup. All decent players wait until after so their WC performances can bring in other potential suitors and they can get bigger signing on fees. Only players in lower leagues or those not involved in the competition tend to move on early in the window. Ramadan moved early simply becauase it's a guaranteed Prem move. Not really something Shaq meeds to worry about, there'll be plenty of clubs after him around the continent

Think the world cup is the main reason there's not been a great deal of activity in the transfer market, more so in the Prem.... Think he'll get the move he wants after!!!

Wonderful player that we should all enjoy that he played for Stoke, a bit like Arnie
Yes, he was infuriating, inconsistent, moody, idle at times, but the quality always shone through
Having been a a supporter for over 60 years, the last few years have been the best since Greenhoff days
We have been spoiled over the last few years seeing some of the best players in the world at the Brit

I'm going to miss the beautiful little fucker. Still, we'll get the same money for him as Villa paid for Ross McCormack so we're doing well.

Been waiting all the world cup hoping for Stoke's 2nd ever goalscorer (in the right net).
We may never see him in a Stoke kit but that second half performance was magic and that goal was like seeing a last minute winner for Stoke (the best goals) so long see we did it.

Because if any club was prepared to pay £12m they would have bought him before now. Now we might get his release price. He was never going to go for less than that £12m relegation clause. £12m in today's market is stupidly low but that's our stupid fault. He probably wouldn't have signed for Stoke if there wasn't a certain relegation release clause, and if the rumoured fee is true, it's actually slightly more than we paid for him.

Did your hear his interview? He was asked about moving and he said he hopes to pen a new deal at Stoke and help to fire them back up! 😀

Great player, I will be sad to see him go.
Stoke fans are funny when we had industrious wingers they wanted flair we bought flair and they moan he's too lazy.

Sorry but there is absolutely no chance! The only chance he stays is for him to get injured at the World Cup - we might see him til January then But literally nobody wants that to happen do they. No good to anyone involved. He deserves his move, he wants to leave, we will reinvest the money we get from selling him even though it’s a joke of an amount and it’s a big wage of the books. Thank him for the memories and wish him well.

Remember that woman you had? You didn't see her for long or that often but when you did the sex was mind blowing. Everything before was functional, mildly satisfying but hardly memorable. Welcome back to your previous life!

Chuffed for the little fucker. Can there be a better feeling for someone from a kosovan/ Albanian refugee family? What a high.

Aside from the goal, Shaqiri's general play was great. As it was for many games last season come to think of it.

Just heard one on the radio that Shak has a Kosovar flag 🇽🇰 on his boots & that’s why the Serbs are giving him special attention. I knew he was Muslim, but didn’t realise he was a Bulkan boy... He got is own back when he did Albanian eagle to then 🇦🇱 .

Yet there are people on here who want him sold and others calling for the like of Walters back. Stoke fans gotta love 'em. If he wants to go then yes, fuck off Shaq. If he wants to stay and be apart of what is to come then i would lay my cock on a cheese cracker for him to stay.
