If true this is shocking and if the teams in the Championship are ripping away fans off when these teams come here Stoke should charge them the same

If true this is shocking and if the teams in the Championship are ripping away fans off when these teams come here Stoke should charge them the same No they shouldn't. Not at all. They should take a stance and charge a fair price for all visitors. The travelling supporter from Leeds, Brentford or Villa has no say in their clubs' pricing structures. So why should they be penalised for it?

There’s a Leeds fan where I work too, he said the same. Expect around £50.00, and that’s if they don’t put the prices up which apparently they usually do. Welcome to the championship. How price caps havnt been made mandatory for the lower leagues when the top flight is capped at £30 I’ll never know, it’s a disgrace. Because premier league teams don't need the money whilst football league clubs do.

Stoke should set an example and shame the rip off prices and just charge the flat £30 or less

We should either take the moral high ground and charge no more than £30 or simply repay in kind and charge clubs fans exactly what they charge our away fans. The former. Its not the opposition fans fault their clubs are rip off merchants. Maybe take the stance right now, that we will only charge £30 ( or less Derby only charge £28 ) to away fans at all games at the Bet 365 and invite others to do the same

It would the small Clubs that would suffer from that

Was working with a Leeds fan at the weekend, he said it’s our year this year (again) until we’re 2 months in and then reality sets in that they’ll just end up as mid table mediocrity (again).

Stoke should set an example and shame the rip off prices and just charge the flat £30 or less Why should we charge a lot less than others and encourage large away followings to the Bet365 and put up with high prices for away games ourselves with the effect on our away attendances - seems like a good way to hand an advantage to the opposition to me.

I have been reading your forum with interest on our ticket prices. I am a Leeds fan but you are right about the prices, they are too expensive for us too. A season ticket costs me around £580 so that's the cheapest way for me. It would be good to get a £30 price cap but I cant see it happening anytime soon. We don't have the luxury of the vast premier TV money, despite being on Sky 6547 times a year. We still don't make more for being on TV so that is why prices are so high I guess.
I still wouldn't miss this game it should be a cracker. Good luck with the season & don't under estimate anybody in this league. Not as easy as you think.

I asked a friend of mine who lives in Wakefield and is a long-standing Leeds fan. He says £36/£37.

Cap wages and cap ticket prices. Wages are way too high and if they were brought 25-50% lower then hey presto the club would be able to survive without charging silly prices. Will it happen no chance

Real terms value of this game can't be above £10-15 really (And only so because of obscene prices as it is!).
Once a relevant club, now very very not.
More than a trip to Old Trafford? Off you fuck.

I appreciate where you are coming from mate but cmon be truthful We all want to get paid as much as we can to do the jobs we do. Footballers get an extortionate amount and ticket prices are high, both are only going one way. To me a cap seems obvious if things are to be fair. I’d take as much of a wage as I could get the club to pay. But if there was a cap and I knew there was a cap then I wouldn’t be expecting to get a wage above the cap. Are you in favour of wages keep going up and up?

Not particularly but it’s not the fault of the players ....if somebody offered me crazy money to do the same job I do now I’d be off like a shot and would be the problem of the company paying me not me for accepting it so why then should I take a 50% cut

I've just been to an away match.
Beer at my ground is a quid a bottle. Beer at the away ground is 3 quid a bottle.
I will charge everybody else a quid, but they can fuck off.
5 quid to them until they understand.
Yours truly, Sir Cumvent The Bastards.
