Best corner he's done all season.
Fuck you, Neville.

I think Neville has been out of order tbh.
Shaqiri was certainly the least of our problems last season.

So that's the weakness in the Brazil team, a shambles defending corners.

Credit where it's due, cracking corner. Still prefer he's not part of our team next season though.

When did shaq learn to take a corner?

He's certainly spent a lot of time covering and double marking with Lichtsteiner. Not that they showed that mind. You got a poster of him above the bed😄 I wish! Of all our players i see no problem with having him there

Lazy prick, if he wasn't so fucking lazy he'd cross that and get on the end of it himself to finish it, not leave it to his teammates.

Brazil deserved that kick up the arse. They’d stopped playing and started dicking about.....

Shaqiri is giving his full back no help at all. Just the same as he did for us last season. Neville is spot on with his assessment. Sorry guys, but I, for one, won't miss him at all next season. The occasional cracking goal but little other contribution. Prima Donna and legend in his own mind. I think the ITV criticism is harsh to be honest, however there seems to be some Stoke fans who separate being a flair player and working hard. They don’t have to be mutually exclusive, some of the best players in the world also graft for the team, it’s why Shaqiri for all his talents will be a big fish in a small pond like he is now, or a peripheral player at a big club like Liverpool...... I think flair players can get away with it at smaller clubs if they deliver on a regular basis, and it's up to individuals to decide whether Shaq delivered enough going forward to justify the downsides. I don't quite think so, but obviously some do. You simply can't get away with it at the top clubs though and it'll likely hold him back from being the player he seems to think he is. Good corner just now though!

I can only imagine what would have happened if this was a league game and Shaqiri dropped that onto Diouf’s head.
It’d probably go out for another corner.
At our end.

I tend to agree, I think he was good last season but I was really disappointed by his contribution at the business end of the season when we needed him to drag us over the line with a few moments of brilliance.....

That one tv highlighted incident of Shaq playing for us in that home game last season tarnished him. The one where he didn't chase it towards the boothen I think.
Every pundit picked up on it at the time and since have used it as the norm for him. Lazy Shaq? Lazy punditry.

As far as I'm concerned he should have played the No. 10 role game in game out.
Sticking him out wide meant you were depending on him doing his defensive duties which he quite clearly isn't up to.
Play him centrally and when we don't have the ball he has a 5m x 5m box to defend and he's advanced for when we turned the ball over.
That being said he should be the 1st one sold as he would be utterly useless in the championship.

Are we really suggesting that shaqiri has had a great game because he's delivered one half decent corner that was defended abysmally? I was giving satire, based on the comments that he's a lazy prick, despite the fact he's in the team to create and score, (the hardest part of football), and he's just done one of those. Also, defended abysmally? He's whipped it in like a rocket to the edge of the six yard box. It's a fucking fantastic corner.

Not impressed at all.
