From the BBC. Says it feels like I haven't mentioned Xherdan Shaqiri too much. Stoke fans will know that for every game that he is brilliant, there is one where he may as well have stayed in the dressing room. Here he tries to get down the right channel, b

As soon as he hit it I said goal, he does it so often. Hit a couple of almost identical ones against us.

We all know what he's like. I just can't fathom that he can't arsed on the biggest stage in the world. If he can't be bothered here he's unlikely to do so in the Championship.

Anyone who thinks Shaqiri wasnāt part of the problem last season, doesnāt have a full understanding of football. Of course heās got quality but thereās no doubt he neglects defensive duties at times.

Shaqiri is giving his full back no help at all. Just the same as he did for us last season. Neville is spot on with his assessment. Sorry guys, but I, for one, won't miss him at all next season. The occasional cracking goal but little other contribution. Prima Donna and legend in his own mind.

As soon as he hit it I said goal, he does it so often. Strangely enough, the bookies offer good odds on him scoring from outside the area, despite him doing so regularly.

Anyone who thinks Shaqiri wasnāt part of the problem last season, doesnāt have a full understanding of football. Of course heās got quality but thereās no doubt he neglects defensive duties at times. I wouldn't play him in a position where he has to try be an Olympic athlete. Neymar doesn't even enter his own half never mind anything else defensively. Shaq should be played where doesn't have to run 80 yards to win the ball back, to then have to sprint another 80 yards to get back up the pitch. You play to a quality players stengths. If he can't track back, don't ask him to.

I think the ITV criticism is harsh to be honest, however there seems to be some Stoke fans who separate being a flair player and working hard. They donāt have to be mutually exclusive, some of the best players in the world also graft for the team, itās why Shaqiri for all his talents will be a big fish in a small pond like he is now, or a peripheral player at a big club like Liverpool......
