Errr.....no. Where is it? Perranporth Nice. Only been there a few times even though I've lived here - south coast though, mainly - for nearly 12 years. Walked the length of the beach and back a few months ago and got lost climbing dunes in the dark to get to a campsite a couple of years ago. Looking to go to a few more games now we've sacked off that Premier League shite.

Hope to get back in a couple of weeks as I have friends in Truro. Cornwall is simply sublime, one of my favourite places.

As you so rightly say it is the best beach in the country. Holidaying on the Isle Of Wight at the end of July which, imho is on a par with Cornwall but both are beautiful parts of the country.

Travelled from Ivybridge, nearest station to Brixton where we live in South Devon, and changed at St Erth where we joined the cattle train to St Ives. We have Devon and Cornwall Railcard and the trip cost £29.50 for 3 adults and two kids. It pissed down from the minute we got off the train to the minute we got back on 3 rainsoaked hours later.

I live near Bude on the north coast, havn`t got a season ticket as I work at lot of weekends, but I`m plenty mad enough and I do make the 500 mile round trip in a day whenever I can. And will continue to do so whatever league we`re in.

That train journey from ST Erth to St Ives is one hell of a journey with spectacular views, perhaps not so in the rain we always get the train from Truro when we visit ST Ives.

I was also in Cornwall last Wednesday ,went sea fishing from Megavissey with the Dragon ( Mrs.) and Grandchildren got absolutely soaked and didn't catch a thing, reinforced my opinion of fishing.😠Weather was nice for the rest of the week though.

I live an hour and a half from Bude; ridiculous.

My weekend work program usually occurs in September,October and again in March,April and May (trade shows) but I`m happy to do the transport ( company wheels and fuel ) if schedules allow.

Company wheels and fuel: blimey. I've got a few weekends left to book off before February so let me know if you're heading up Nov/Dec/Jan any time and I'll see what I can do.

It`s not so bad, I`ve been a sales rep for 25 years so the driving`s not a problem. From here everywhere`s miles away I sometimes stay at the Plough if I have a drink but I usually watch the game sober, that made last season even worse !

I just whack a load of music on and the time flies by. A30>M5>M6>A500. 300 miles in between four and five hours for me.
