Nah, I wish we were sensible.
That just doesn't seem sensible.

10m per year ! Jesus Christ , that’s more than 95% of the footballers in the league as well.
In terms of players, they would need to realistically spend 100m + to challenge for the 5-7 places , 200m for top 4. Can’t see it !

It's a bit mad, unless they have the money to attract the players to take them to the next grouping in the PL?

They can afford it because they retained PL status.
Meanwhile we'll be stuck with some bloke who is a total fucking gamble.
So yeah, It is.
*You signed Markooooo, we signed Berahino*

Conservatively average though. Just wait, I can already see the press conferences now this summer: 'we've obviously got the parachute payments, Nige, and my team has been working tirelessly throughout the window to land our targets but they just haven't happened for whatever reason. We've got Martyn Waghorn who is a wonderful lad and hopefully that will stand us in good stead for the future' If you don't believe me, look up his quotes from transfer windows gone by. He wont sign the players we need. Derby haven't done anything every other manager in recent memory hasn't done for them. It smacks of mediocrity, IMO.

I wont wait and see what happens and neither should anyone else, this is a golden opportunity with essentially the whole world at our feet. We've not long been bragging on here about how the Coates family are worth £6 billion quid with even more on the way now USA has legalised sports betting, we've got one of the best training setups in the country and a 30k stadium that can be filled on a minutes notice. Gary fucking Rowett mate. We already boxed ourselves in by hoping for a Moyes/Sam but we could still do as well as that, if not better. The only thing I will get a grip of is the incoming mid-table Championship side football. We don't want that, do we? It's all about which side of the coin you're seeing.

The Coates family don't want to spend their money on the football club. The words self sufficient and sensible shouldn't apply to billionaires hobbies but in our case they do. They've been attached to our football club for what they can get out of it not for some altruistic reason. This 'number one fan' shite is a load of tripe that was seen as the lie it is during last season's debacle.

It's definitely ambition and considering the squad they're building, you can see West Ham getting better and better. Football has gone utterly bonkers, but that's the Premiership and you can't blame West Ham for going for it. Dog eat dog world ain't it?

Reported that Huddersfield are on the verge of doubling Wagner's wages to £100,000 a week. Just over a year ago, unthinkable a HTFC manager would be getting this sort of money.

Funnily enough I saw an Everton moaning on Twitter about us chasing Silva instead of going for Pellegrini and I would have Silva any day of the week.
Any side outside of the top 3 elite (Utd, City and Chelsea) simply have to appoint a young innovative coach who has a philosophy and a long term plan for the club.
Kopites, Spurs and supposedly Arsenal with Arteta have all done this and I feel its the only way forward.
Lets face it Pellegrini is on for his final pay day. Give me a young up and coming manager who can inspire players than some bloke who's nearing the end of his career.

Wow....
I like him, he's a nice chap. Don't think he's a great manager mind, but he's a nice likeable chap.
I will be very surprised if he is the manager that brings them what they 'desire' but that appointment could very easily go two ways. One, he's a roaring success and gets them nowhere near where they want to be but still top half.
Or
An expensive sacking in November.
I'll go with the latter if putting money down.

You really think we could do better than Moyes or Allardyce as a championship club? I doubt they would even answer the phone if we called never mind! Especially Allardyce, why would he at his age come to a championship club who partly need rebuilding after finishing top 10 in the Premier League? He'd be crazy to, he'll just wait until someone starts panicking around December, keep them up, get laid off and have the summer off. Moyes was always going to be more likely but even still if he'd come to the championship after he's had a creditable season I'd be amazed!
