Yeah cheers for the two wins in 15 games, the relegation, the braindead squad selections and having all the in-game tactical nous of a traffic cone. But you’re a nice bloke though Paul so that’s alright, given we weren’t even adrift when you won the lottery and somehow landed the job. Pretty much sums it up.

Tried his very best with the shit hand that was dealt to him. I’ve got very little faith that our board will replace him with anyone any better in all honesty.

He will certainly get a round of applause from me if he were to return at any time. He was dealt a really shitty hand thanks to the complacency of the board and previous management and at least he improved the defence and got them fitter, the latter which should never have been an issue at any professional level let alone a Premier league team.Sadly he could not turn around results despite some " winnable games". I wish him the best of luck and thank him for his efforts.

He'd have kept us up with a decent forward I reckon but I don't think he has the tools to get us up, as we all know that requires something a bit different.
I too have no faith in the board to either replace him adequately and/or back the new man.
I'm not convinced the right man is Moyes either.
Interesting times.

Tried and failed, give him a striker in January and maybe the difference. Nice guy, good luck to him! GOARRNN stoke! I really don't get the 'striker making the difference' thing. We create next to nothing for a striker to do anything with! The general build up play was too slow, with zero movement. Didier Drogba in his prime would have struggled with our build up play. Think Drogba would have taken most of the chances Diouf missed surely? Personally I think any one of us would have taken at least one of them.

Just because he's gone, I won't soften my position. He was a disastrous appointment. I'm glad he's gone and he doesn't go with "thanks" because under his watch we went down. There's really fuck all to be thankful for!

All the best for the future Paul, you gave it your best shot but ultimately failed to keep us up. In a results business like football, unfortunately it leads to the sack and our board didn`t really have any option but to dismiss you from your post.

All the best for the future Paul, things might have been different had he been put in charge atleast 3 games earlier with a full window to go at, to realise how badly we needed a goal scorer He knew the squad so well and what was needed so sorry that is bollocks.

But you’re a nice bloke though Paul so that’s alright, given we weren’t even adrift when you won the lottery and somehow landed the job. Why does everyone keep saying he's a nice bloke? He's a fucking fraud and a charlatan and has received a nice wage for four months (and no doubt a hefty pay-off) as a result of his deception. If some con artist blagged your nan out of her life savings then I doubt you'd be in a hurry to describe the perpetrator as 'a nice guy'. Should never have got a top flight job in the first place and will get no thanks from me for his quite frankly abysmal performance whilst he was here. Fuck you Paul.

Don't hate the man, but way more thankful that he is gone than I ever was that he came here. Total disaster. It's fine margins though, had he kept us up he would be a hero. Goodbye Paul, please don't come back.

Stop talking shit, he had an interview for a job and got it. Blame the person that gave him the job!! I am no Lambert fan, and I never wanted him here and I am happy he has gone, but to call him a fraud and a compare him to someone conning an old lady out of her savings is grade A diarrhoea.

There's something else we should be thanking him for if the Sentnull story is accurate, and that's forcing our dithering, directionless board into actually making a decision. It sounds like the club wanted the "routine" meeting to go along the lines of "carry on as you are please Paul, let's see where we are in a week or two eh, there's a good lad". PL said "look this is fucking ridiculous can you please sort this out one way or another" and they were forced to end it there and then for want of any clear plan. Another indictment of the state of the club's leadership. So ta for that too Paul.

He wouldn't make my top million Don't even want fat Sam either. And if Pardew even gets mentioned I'll buy a van and get it painted before leaving it by the vw roundabout. Time to look up, not in the bargain bin of failure and boredom.

I am not sticking up for him but with the players he had to work with I can't think of any manager that would have saved us. I fancy Mark Hughes would have found the extra 4 points it would have taken from somewhere. We had some pretty soft home games and incredibly fluffed the whole flippin' lot

He had a couple of chances he should have put away put all strikers miss chances - the key to reducing the impact is creating more opportunities. If you only create three chances in five games of course it's going to seem like it's all the striker's fault if he misses them.

Decent bloke. Don't feel any resentment towards him. Exactly. Tried hard with what he had. Conducted himself with utmost professionalism and tried to reinstate the values that this club had lost. Thank you Paul and good luck for the future.

I’ve never wanted a manager to succeed as much as I did lambo. He openly said he was shocked to get the job and the bloke was overwhelmed with the support he had. I wish the bloke all the best for his future. He seemed a top man that wanted success for us

All these players that were sent to coventry for misbehaving how many of them did you hear were fined ? If their behaviour was so unprofessional why weren't they ? So thanks Paul not all bad though some cracking away doors at reading, ipswich, norwich and more to come.

He really could have done himself a huge favour by not falling out with 25% of the playing staff or at least saving that until the summer. He had 15 games only and needed every last man jack pulling in the same direction, the truth and reconciliation committee could have waited. I thought we hired him as some kind of 'unity' candidate to get us to the finish line but he went 'divide and conquer' and the rest is history. I don't dislike him, I couldn't dislike someone who tried as hard as he did I just think he got the tone all wrong.
