Losing him when we did and for as long as we did was a tragedy of unquantifiable proportions! But, as far as I'm concerned he was getting back to form and fitness. Hughes lost his bottle and he was made a scapegoat for greater failings within the team.

He’s very good at self promotion! I honestly think he is taking the piss. He’s made an incredible living out of failing to deliver!

You are entitled to your opinion but, in the absence of ANY evidence to back your claim up, I doubt if many Stokies will agree with you.

I want to spoon him under a thick eiderdown duvet. I will have a jumper on but will be naked from the waist down. We'll get a cat together and call it Martin. Martin? Martin Catkinson. He's a jerk.

If the new manager wants to get a shit load of fans on his side from the get go his first act should be bring Bojan home, if we show him the love he'll light up the Championship. Edit - And I get goosebumps watching that video.

Not saying he is lying about the anxiety attacks but he is looking for his next contract and is constantly promoting himself and delivering nothing. Why hasn't he even got into the Alaves team? I don't understand the love in for him. He has proved without any shadow of a doubt that he is not going to cut it at Stoke, at Alaves or at the top level in general. Its frustrating because he clearly has more ability in his little toe than most of our current squad but just doesn't have what it takes mentally.

What was that line from Don MacLean,
'I could have told you Vincent, life was never meant for one as beautiful as you.'

He’s very good at self promotion! I honestly think he is taking the piss. He’s made an incredible living out of failing to deliver! Sorry Stokie1, but you're wrong there. An illness like that just takes hold and can destroy a person's life - to the point that they can't even go round to the corner shop or something else equally mundane. God knows how someone afflicted like that can drag themselves onto a football pitch, in front of thousands, every week. And to the rest of us, such an illness makes no sense and defies any logic and fails to follow what we would consider to be a predictable path. Fair play to Bojan for speaking out.

Its frustrating because he clearly has more ability in his little toe than most of our current squad but just doesn't have what it takes mentally. As JohnMarsh, has suggested above, I think you are totally misjudging the effect mental health problems can have on someone's ability to function properly. For many mental health problems, like anxiety and depression, the first step on the road to recovery is to admit the problem to yourself and to a professional - and then to go public about it. Once that is done you can be honest with friends, colleagues, employers and (in the case of footballers) fans. Having done that it should become much more likely that you can get (and keep) your life back on track. Bojan is never happier than when he and his team have a good game - you can see it on his face and in his body language from 50 yards away. He won't be wanting to take the piss out of Stoke or their fans. He'll be wanting to recapture that magic that he once displayed with the ball at his feet. He should be given the chance to do so.

I would love to see Bojan in a Stoke shirt again, that first spell before injury was something else, he was pretty poor afterwards to be fair but he deserves another chance. Pre-injury:Apps: 18 Goals: 5 Win%: 33% Post-injury:Apps: 36 Goals: 10 Win%: 36% 2015/16 (the last season in which he started 3 or more games in a row.):Apps: 27 Goals: 7 (2nd top scorer) Win%: 41% The last time Bojan got a run of 3 or more games for any team was after the Tottenham game of April 2016. He had scored 2 in 2 before that. This just takes into account goals and win percentage too. No mention made of the fact that in 2015/16 his performances with Arnie and Shaq brought the best performances I've ever seen from a Stoke team, that left us 5 points off the top 4 with 7 games to go. Or that taking just his goals away (not his performances) would leave us 20 points worse off over the 45 games he played in his first two seasons. This is the weirdest and most confusing case of selective memory from a large group of Stoke fans I've ever seen. It's even weirder than 'Ryan Shawcross is past it'. Get this argument in the bin where it belongs.

Possibly the article indirectly explains why he took longer than anticpated to recover. It was a mental as much as a physical problem. He wasn't helped by the manager and thee arrival of Lambert also didn't help, since Lambert rejected taking the player back from his loan. Being on loan at a club that didn't really want also didnt helped. Definitely deserves another chance and a big arm around his shoulder.
