I have a feeling he will do well.
They will chuck some money at getting straight back. I'm worried about them

Brave decision.
Obviously hope he's a failure but it's nice to see a new face on the managerial scene.

He came in and gave them the new manager bounce that we really did not get with Lambert. I hope he does well - as long as they finish behind us next season, of course.
It would have been easy for them to target Allardyce or Moyes, so fair play for backing a man who did a good job. On the other hand, we seem intent on backing a man who did a less than stellar job......

Obviously not football people making these decisions. Don't they know you've got to drag it out, wait till the best options have gone then try and kid everyone that you always wanted the joker you appoint all along.
Idiots.

I know Pulis banged on about this but Albion now have unity. Their fans with a man who has Albion in his blood will be as one at least to begin with. I think its an astute appointment and they have now stolen a march on us already. We are on the other hand dont have unity. As it stands we are a tinderbox of frustration and bewilderment as to why our manager is still in post!!

Who had appointed him? They don't have a Chairman,Cheif executive or director of football. Albion, like Stoke, are a shambles just in a different way.

WBA reappointed Mark Jenkins as Chief Executive in February. He was previously at the club (alongside J Peace) for eight years. Knows the club very well. Instrumental in the price reduction of £70 of ST's. Will run the club for all practical purposes. Notoriously tight fisted. Nickname Dr No. Currently there is a temporary advisor - Giuliano Terraneo, Technical Consultant. He also doubles as a Groucho Marx lookalike. He is tasked with finding a DoF. Previously worked with Lazio, Inter Milan, and Fenerbahce. Has just sacked The Capped One's two scouts. It MAY be a sign that Albion have started to sort things out, so 'shambles' is overstating the case IMO.

Clean sweep, then a tough (by the sound of it) guy running the club with no nonsense/inspirational Moore as well. Moore will need an experienced number two, what's Keith Downing doing these days?

Looks a great guy, but will come unstuck.
Not got the experience to put a season strategy together, manage a pre-season or a full campaign. Will be very surprised if it works out well.

It's a sign of no money at the club to promote internally and an unproven manager. Yes he motivated a relegated squad but perhaps playing to put themselves in the shop window

This says more about the players than Moore

This says more about the players than Moore If the Albion players were playing for a move, and Moore had no effect, why did Stoke players not show an upturn in performances for the same reason? Big Dave has galvanised the WBA players and supporters, and deserves his chance. He knows all of the players, and has a unique insight into all of the WBA youth players, as he has worked with them for years. There must be reservations over Moore's ability to plan the required strategy to escape the clutches of the Championship, and how he will shape the squad. However, given the way the club is structured, he will not be working alone. His popularity may persuade some of the squad to stick around for a couple of transfer windows, although that is no more than a hope, given the modern player's lack of loyalty.

With WBA appointing D Moore, I and all the other Albion fans will be saved the horror of looking at the endless list of losers being linked to the club. From the number of manager related threads already on the Oatcake, and the lack of any agreement over suggested candidates, it looks as if it will be entertaining to watch the plot unfold. At least WBA will be able to get on with the task of shedding the mercenaries and the deadwood. That is a problem that SCFC have still to address, and delaying the appointment of your manager will make life more difficult. Good luck.

Sensible move in my opinion. Obviously Moore benefited by NOT being Pardew but I suspect he is also a decent tactician given some of their results under him. Certainly he looks to be a better tactician than either Hughes (in his last 2 years in charge of us) or Lambert who really didn't impress in that department. He created a stronger defence quite quickly but his game management once having got a lead was probably worse than that of Hughes - and that takes some doing.
Moore will be a comparatively low cost option for the Baggies and it should quickly become clear if he can cut the mustard. If he can then the Baggies will give him a pay rise and congratulate themselves on a job well done. If he can't then I'm sure they will not do what our board did, and be blind to the problems and wait far too long before changing things.
If I was a Baggies fan I'd be happy at the prospect of the season ahead.
