Sensible move in my opinion. Obviously Moore benefited by NOT being Pardew but I suspect he is also a decent tactician given some of their results under him. Certainly he looks to be a better tactician than either Hughes (in his last 2 years in charge of us) or Lambert who really didn't impress in that department. He created a stronger defence quite quickly but his game management once having got a lead was probably worse than that of Hughes - and that takes some doing. Moore will be a comparatively low cost option for the Baggies and it should quickly become clear if he can cut the mustard. If he can then the Baggies will give him a pay rise and congratulate themselves on a job well done. If he can't then I'm sure they will not do what our board did, and be blind to the problems and wait far too long before changing things. If I was a Baggies fan I'd be happy at the prospect of the season ahead. And more to the point I doubt many people would give him shit.... Scary big bloke

I would like him to shed that image for one game and attack the visitor's manager - doing serious damage to the individual - Middlesbrough.

I can see him doing very well next season and can see us doing very average if we sign an average manager like Rowett. West Brom certainly have a better squad than us, younger and more likely to keep their players. I can’t believe we actually want Rowett who is clearly bang average and was lucky to have a few good players like Vydra at Derby

With WBA appointing D Moore, I and all the other Albion fans will be saved the horror of looking at the endless list of losers being linked to the club. From the number of manager related threads already on the Oatcake, and the lack of any agreement over suggested candidates, it looks as if it will be entertaining to watch the plot unfold. At least WBA will be able to get on with the task of shedding the mercenaries and the deadwood. That is a problem that SCFC have still to address, and delaying the appointment of your manager will make life more difficult. Good luck. I would have agreed with you up until today, I think Rowett, being a young English manager and not being on the usual boring, merry go round will unite our fans and to out to be a great appointment. (That, and he was my preferred choice)

Based upon what, exactly??
