I'm surprised the useless fucker knows how to press the B button on his controller to score on FIFA. A quim of a footballer if I've ever seen one.

Yeah, just pay him off mate. Have you got a few million lying around? Due to his conduct. Being late for training, various negative newspaper articles isn't there a way he can be sacked.

Berahino is undoubtedly a wanker, however that "article" is a load of bollocks

What amazes me is that we chased the signing for months. Presumably down to Hughes. As for Berahino on the verge of an England place what a tit. Tony soon got the measure of him. Pity we didnt

I've already suggested that we send the feckless cunt back to WBA for a full refund, becasue under the Consumer Rights Act he's not fit for purpose.

Depends on his contract. Breach of contract can mean he gets sacked after appropriate written warnings etc.
Sadly I doubt being fucking useless is a reason for sacking as per contract.
And if we sack him we obviously don't have to pay him anymore but also lose the right to sell him.
But I'd happily give him a free transfer in exchange for no pay off.
Sadly from his perspective, even on a free (so no fee to new club) I doubt he'd get 70k p/w. So financially he should just sit tight.

I would have thought that any professional footballer has a duty to keep himself fit enough to play up to the standard required, and if not he could be sacked without compensation. Similarly his off-field behaviour should not undermine the standing and reputation of the Club. Berahino looks vulnerable on both counts.

Why on earth would we sack him? Way too much invested in him to do that. We need to recoup as much as we can or get him firing.

Ok I’ll nail my colours to the mast .
I’ll be prepared to give him a chance he’s made stupid , mistakes , but if there is a chance he can be a match winner then I’d at least try .

We can't get rid of him so no reason not to look at him and see how he does. saves buying more strikers.

Talk is cheap, don't think we can afford to start him and it go pear shaped again. I'd prefer to see him gone but can't see anyone taking him.
Didn't we see the same type of shite from him before last season professing he was fit and raring to go!

I need a lie down. It'll come down to what the management team see in training and 'around the building' to quote VT. If they think he's worth it I'll trust their judgment, they'll see far more than me and know more than me.

Gary has spoken to him and basically said it’s a clean slate. He’s part of his plans and has come back very sharp.

I am prepared to make allowances because speaking as an oldie, it seems young men get more and more childish each year. There does not seem to be any education of life or discipline in schools, young people seem to live in a cyberworld, and spend their lives with ear phones on, staring into a phone.
I can understand grown men crying at a peak emotional moment like the birth of a child, death of a close friend, or major achievement like winning the WC, but I was sickened by the number players today crying because they had lost a football match.
It is clearly a world I don't understand and I am prepared to make allowances that Berahino has had a young life very different to the one I had in the 50s and 60s. So I do understand he could be lead astray by those around him. Hopefully he realises he is in the last chance saloon if he wants to make anything of his life and not be remembered as one of sports great failures.

How many chances is he going to get only to blow them every time?
If he was any decent then he wouldn’t have just side footed that chance against Coventry straight at the only defender on the line and he would have put himself about a bit in the other umpteen chances.
If we’re gambling on him to produce anything then lessons haven’t been learned. He’s a total waster and playing him is like having 10 on the pitch. Just absolute madness, move on ffs!

Giving him a 100th chance is all well and good, but if it means us not buying another striker because he 'looks sharp" and wants to "restart his career" then I am against it. He has a lot to prove for us, and we simply cannot rely on him in any way.

He is a fucking embarrassment. He has been beyond a joke since the day we signed him and before. He is part of the reason we are where we are.
Yes I hope he turns his life around like any young man with clear psychological issues. But I hope he goes down to the conference which is the level he’s been at for years now

If he is prepared to knuckle down and work hard then we should absolutely give him one last chance. We don't have much choice as we won't be able to sell him anyway. That doesn't stop us from buying another striker though.

I think the clean-slate rule should be broken in Berahino's unique case. Hopefully, the backroom team (and the players who are staying for the fight) will recognise that Berahino needs to be treated in a way analogous to a fresh recruit in the marines. I think it's a safe guess to assume he didn't receive that type of treatment under Hughes' regime, and I don't think Lambert had enough time to sort out the riff-raff infesting the squad. Lambert was pretty much forced to consign the drifters and, even though we failed to survive, I still think he was right to do that.
Berahino needs to be put into a gruelling sink or swim situation. At this point we have very little to lose by doing that. He'll probably fail, but there's got to be a slither of a chance that it'll be just what he needs to get back on track.

Deserves a chance. The lad clearly has talent and can finish. Just needs to get his head right and some confidence
Played completely wrongly by Hughes..and was very unlucky not to score for us (had a brilliant header saved by Mignolet v Liverpool at home season before one just gone) Mignolet had no right to get to it but when things aren’t going your way that happens.
He actually makes very intelligent runs and has good movement but half the time our players just don’t pick up on it.
No harm in giving him a chance, a couple goals and some confidence and he’ll be banging them in I reckon
