Yeah we really need Arsenal to get knocked out on Thursday. Even then, they haven't taken a single point on the road in 2018. You know what will happen ... we'll do our bit, get the 6 points and then Arsenal will send us down! 😁 Nothing would give their fans greater pleasure either mate🙄 The only thing is it's Whinger's last ever game and he'll be desperate to sign off with a win.

With the obvious exception of Southampton, yesterday's results were fairly kind to us. We now go down in around 90% of simulations of the remaining matches. In the 10 out of every 100 where we stay up the most common combination of relegated teams is WBA, Southampton and Huddersfield which happens in 41 out of every 100 survival seasons, followed by WBA, Swansea and Huddersfield (30 per 100). The rest are listed below. View AttachmentIs it the image or do i need to go to specsavers?

I think Saints need 4 points from Everton and Swansea to stay up cant see City letting up after watching them yesterday and Southampton have some good players but not great defensively .
If Swansea can go to Bournemouth and win it will probably do them as they will have confidence ahead of their last 2 but if they lose to Bournmouth they will feel the pressure
Huddersfield missed a big opportunity Sat but still have Arsenal at home who have not geot an away point all year and could have a European final the folowing Wednesday so I think they might be ok but they will feel pressure too .
All we can do it somehow try to beat Palace and see where we are , my guess is it might be another draw and we will know but if we can get to the last game on winner takes all then we have a chance down there .

Or Wenger’s last game is 5-5 like Fergie’s and we go DOWN on goals scored 🙂

I think they'll get done over by Athletico anyway so it will be.

Our survival just requires two things to happen! We have to win our last two games! Our current form says it is unlikely but it is still possible and we also need Hudderfield to lose their three remainig games! This is quite possible looking at the games! I think a few other things need to happen too mate. You will find that if Stoke beat Palace and then Swansea we will have 36 points. Huddersfield then comply and they have 35points. Swansea not only lose to us also they have to play Southampton so one of them will suffer or a draw, it will mean either struggling to get 36 points. West Bromich cannot get 36 points.

Theres more chance of West Brom catching us than us staying up. You sir, are an oxymoron ! Might I suggest that if you truly feel that way, you change your username? I sir, am a pragmatist, and have been since 1970.

Here is what I think our problem is. We have a long shot chance of catching either Huddersfield or Swansea but the trouble is we need to catch Huddersfield AND Swansea if we are to stay up since Southampton have more points, better goal difference and a game in hand and will finish above us for sure. And that's why Bet365 and the others have Southampton at evens and us at 1/12 to go down. Stoke are down barring a truly incredible set of results but i'd have Huddersfield who easily have the worst run in, 2nd favourites to go down, not Southampton. I hope the bookies have it right though because i'd hate to see Hughes stay up.
Hopefully he'll go down, get sacked and never get another PL job as manager.

Is it too far fetched that Huddersfield lose all their remaining games and Swansea lose to both Bournemouth and Southampton which then leaves it in our own hands needing to beat Swansea on the last day to finish above both Huddersfield and Swansea whilst us and Soton stay up ? The difficult part in that is us winning both games and seeing Hughes celebrate too but i believe its our best hope. Swansea beat Soton and thats them 6 points above us with a much better goal difference and narrows it to us soton and hudders and being reliant on other results elsewhere.

I've never encountered scenarios like this in any other sport. I love it, but it is also driving me crazy. I was thinking about this last night as I was going to bed and it made my head hurt. I'm learning, though.

Stoke are down (& it hurts so much).
So why don’t we just gift Swansea the three points & send Mark Hughes & his cronies down too ?
