As if we will win two games.
We have just gone a third of a season without winning one.

Think we will draw against place, considering we have 1 win in 13 it's astonishing we even have a slight chance of survival.

I must admit you do wonder if any Prem team has ever failed to win 12 consecutive matches then won 2 on the bounce? And then factor in that Palace are in excellent nick and carry a real threat and Swansea, well, it's an away game and we win one of those about once a season. Anyone know when the 'World Straw Clutching Championships' take place !?

I really hope we'll be in a position where a win on the last day will make us stay up on the last day of the season. Should be a hell of a game and I seriously think we have a better team than Swansea. Would swap strikers with them though! Swansea getting a decent points gaul at home, we have won 1 game away, Shaq looking useless, no chance.

Here is what I think our problem is. We have a long shot chance of catching either Huddersfield or Swansea but the trouble is we need to catch Huddersfield AND Swansea if we are to stay up since Southampton have more points, better goal difference and a game in hand and will finish above us for sure. And that's why Bet365 and the others have Southampton at evens and us at 1/12 to go down. It could be a good thing if Swansea beats Saints. Saints might or might not get another win this season.

Theres more chance of West Brom catching us than us staying up. You sir, are an oxymoron ! Might I suggest that if you truly feel that way, you change your username?

It occurs every year in late April to mid may and is hosted by the fans of the teams that are in danger of relegation, except of course for the suave fans of Stoke who in a desperate attempt to look cool, steadfastly refuse to believe that their is any hope for their team.

Our luck turned against Liverpool. We'll hang on at home for 3 points and who knows what happens on the last day. I just hope it's still live.

Our survival just requires two things to happen! We have to win our last two games! Our current form says it is unlikely but it is still possible and we also need Hudderfield to lose their three remainig games! This is quite possible looking at the games!

I didn't think we had an earthly chance of a result at Anfield and with Salah 1 on 1 with Butland I thought that's it flood gates to open . But he missed and after that Peters did the best job on him anyone has done this season.
We cant do anything about the other results but if we play like we did on Saturday and have maybe a couple of miscued own goals , it does happen , then we could get six more points and who knows it could be enough.
We can then look forward to all the angst about Lambert , new players etc

Surely the best option is Soton beat Swansea and go safe. Swansea fail to beat Bournemouth, and Huddersfield lose all three. IF massive IF we win both would we not then be above Swansea and Huddersfield?

I think a few other things need to happen too mate. At least one anyway. Either Swansea or Southampton need to lose the requisite number of games too. My two 'pennarth is that Swansea win their next 2 (including Southampton) and are therefore safe and on the beach when they play us who need to win it to survive. Southampton lose against Swansea and Man City and then even a win at Everton keeps us above them. Huddersfield lose all 3. West Brom Huddersfield and Southampton go down. That all of course relies on us beating an in form Palace Although as they are all but safe might take their foot off the gas.

Trust me, I've thought we were down for a couple of weeks but, now it does boil down to the final two games, you can't simply say "we've not won one in the last 12 so there's no chance of us winning two on the bounce". These two games are going to be played under exceptional circumstances, in fact I don't really remember two games like it - should all go in our favour.
The last day of the season has the potential to be huge. I didn't want to have any hope at this stage of the season but I really do think we have a remarkable chance if we can capitalise. We play early on Saturday so don't underestimate just how much pressure that puts on everyone else playing later on if we win that.
It's all ifs and buts and even beating Palace doesn't necessarily mean we go into the last game with anything to play for but, somehow, we're still in with a chance. I don't think that's down to Lambert doing particularly well but we really don't need firing up for Saturday and I expect us to pile the pressure on the rest of the strugglers.

Exactly the same. We need Swansea to win and we need Swansea to lose. Something very ironic goes on in this world when the fate of our (English) Premier League safety relies on a Welsh club, after a Welshman got us here to begin with.

rather than look at all of the possible permutations, I would rather wait and see where we stand next Saturday night and then the following Wednesday night.
of course, it could be all over come 2.45 pm on Saturday afternoon.
let`s all hope that we still have something to fight for come the Swansea game.

Even then, they haven't taken a single point on the road in 2018. You know what will happen ... we'll do our bit, get the 6 points and then Arsenal will send us down! 😁
