I went into this game thinking, if this is our last time at Anfield for a while, how will it measure up to that heroic 0-0 at the start of our very first Prem season? I so wasn't expecting an answer this good - as ever the odd detail to quibble with but Lambo and the lads did us proud today, our game plan really did stop them playing the way they intended, we kept our shape right to the bitter end and imho got the max out of our squad. I'm also proud we did it without Jese and Berahino anyway near.
9 from me

Fantastic defensive display. We improved when Ramadan came on. Fletcher substitution is the worst sub i've ever seen on a football pitch. We have nothing going forward at all. We need a huge huge improvement next week.

-2 for Fletcher, It needed a striker on for Crouch.
Otherwise it would've been an 8.

7 - would have been higher if he'd have gone for the 3 points in the last 10 mins

I'm not blaming Fletcher, but him coming on absolutely killed what little we had going forward. We were hoofing it to him and the right wing was basically unusable after he came on.

Typical Lambert display. Solid defensively, fucking awful once we set foot outside our own penalty area.
Diouf was completely out of gas after an hour, yet no change made. Shaqiri left to waste away the game out wide. Fletcher coming in when we needed nothing less than 3 points was bizarre.
We did well to hang on at the end, but we had barely a sniff in 96 minutes and a point was almost useless to us. Pretty much sums up Lambertâs reign.

Won't you even consider that they were playing for the manager and give him just a little bit of credit

A 3 for a manager that hasn't got a win in him.Thats now one win in 13.

That is blindingly obvious!. Managers cannot sacrifice players due to personal issues. Which player will be next?. Then again perhaps he could have a Barney with Diouf!. Now that would be a godsend.

We DIDN'T need to win, we had to make sure we didn't lose!!!!! 2 massively different things. "Needing to win" and "winning would be the ideal" are 2 massively different things as well. We're reliant on Swansea not taking any points before they play us whatever happens, and even if we'd won today and win against Palace, we'd only be 2 points ahead of Swansea going into the last game anyway so it would still come down to the final game of the season regardless. Can people not do simple maths on here, or do people like you simply hope no one else can so you can't be called out on your utter bullshit posts?

We got a draw away to the second best team in the league and the post potent strike force. When we needed a point at least to continue the fight.
Canât argue with how we did it.

When you're 2nd bottom in the league, you have to win to get out if it before 38 games are over. We didn't need to win? Not winning is the reason the table reads like it does!

Embarrassed yourself with that post a bit there

So you're saying we HAD to win against Liverpool (likely Champs league finalists, contain golden boot winner, player of the year and a forward line that have scored over 70 goals between them) and because we didn't we're definitely down and it isn't good enough, but we have no chance of beating a side who now have nothing to play for and a team who are just as shite as us and you call me a fool?? Re-read your own post, look at the logic you used and think about how fucking thick it is Us being where we are is due to the whole season, given the maths required for us staying up, today was NOT a must win game as it makes no mathematical difference to us staying up. In terms of confidence, we just kept out the best forward in the league (which pretty much no one else has all season) and took points off a side who have battered Man City in the Champs league then banged in 5 in the semi final. Going into games against Palace and Swnasea that will be a massive confidence boost! WE ARE RELIANT ON SWANSEA NOT WINNING POINTS UNTIL THEY PLAY US. EVEN IF WE HAD WON TODAY AND AGAINST PALACE IT WOULD STILL COME DOWN TO OUR GAME AGAINST SWANSEA ON THE LAST DAY ANYWAY (in capitals for those that don't know how a fucking league table works....jesus!)

What will you be clinging onto if we donât win next week? The hope that one of the teams above are deducted points? The Premier League make a last minute rule change that only the bottom side gets relegated?
