i try and defend Saido a little bit ,but perhaps a Pearson type could shake him up a bit and make him realize what he could achieve I think his football days are over. Maybe he could go and do some pot washing He wouldn't be fit enough plus he'd turn up late for every shift.

Just heard the interview. Definitely sounds like hes off after the 15 games. I'm sure of it.

Its very odd, but to come out with things like that suggest hes been given 15 games and 15 games only.

We can but hope....maybe he really did get a short term contract with the option of staying if he kept us up. It might be the only good thing about getting relegated.

Perversely I quite like lambert or at least find it hard to dislike him. He's just a lousy manager. A bit like diouf really who is hard to dislike despite being a really shit centre forward.

Maybe chuck Paul Cook and McInnes in there too? Looks the kind of pool we'd be fishing in though. Moyes maybe fav if he gets the bullet. Cooky is a good mate of mine and I know that he would jump at the chance. I was joking about coming to us and he said that he would love the chance to manage us. Cracking bloke too, who's extremely passionate about the game.

Mick McCarthy - has an excellent record in the championship, is a good rebuilder and has a track record of taking teams back up again. Dean Smith - Has worked wonders on a shoestring at both Walsall and Brentford whilst still playing attractive football - deserves a crack at a bigger club. Alex Neil - has Preston punching well above their weight this season, also has a record of success with Norwich. David Moyes - free agent at end of the season and seems to thrive at clubs where he has a hands on chairman. Few stains on his record, but re-built Everton. Phil Parkinson - performed miracles at Bradford and has done well to bring Bolton back into the championship despite having his hands tied behind his back. Unless you are willing to donate a couple of Million to pay him off, why are we starting the 2,386,841st thread about this?

I'll chuck in Mark Warburton. Did well at Brentford, not so well at Forest, but most managers seem to flop there. Also currently out of work so no compo to pay. Also, by the time we actually sack Lambert our old friend Gary Rowett may be available, judging by the way Derby have been playing lately.

Interesting as you say "Ive been brought in for these 15 games so I wont comment on that" but it could just be him trying to be modest in public. Just listened to that - sounds like he knows he is only here until the end of the season. Maybe the 2.5 year deal announced hinged on us staying up, with a break clause if we got relegated. No win in the last 11 games is hardly much of an interview for an extended deal, is it? Dead man walking.......

Moyes, Hughes, Pulis, Allardyce. Pulis would be an amazing appointment Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz That's not only my response to your post but the sound you'll hear on matchday. Anyway, surely Boro are shoo-ins for promotion under their managerial genius so why would he drop a division?

Mick McCarthy 🤣
I'd be happy with Dean Smith. Brentford play great football despite selling their best players and we'd be a step-up for him. Plus for the Little Englanders he's British!

Jokanovic, Wagner, Big Sam. But they all need a huge amount of money spending to transform this team.

His record is Kamaraesque.

Listening to that interview he said he's only here for 15 games so that looks like he's gone at the end of the season.
Hopefully the Board are currently in well advanced negotiations to bring in his successor on the Monday morning after Lambert leaves straight after the Swansea game.
I know that's wishful thinking but we really can't afford to bugger around with this transfer window.

I’d take Howe or Potter but neither going to happen. Sad predicament. Honestly don’t see Lambert being the man to turn this squad around or his own. I know he’s done it, but feck me some of his subs and alterations make Hughes look sane in the fucking head.

Not a bad shout - hes done well at Brentford (didn't he get them to the play-offs?) and Rangers. He didn't do too badly at Forest either, he kept them up last season and they were mid-table and beat Arsenal in the cup just before he got the sack.

Think this thread has become null and void due to the statements from our Chairman today.
If we're playing fantasy football.. How about Claudio and Pearson double act.
