Mick McCarthy - has an excellent record in the championship, is a good rebuilder and has a track record of taking teams back up again.
Dean Smith - Has worked wonders on a shoestring at both Walsall and Brentford whilst still playing attractive football - deserves a crack at a bigger club.
Alex Neil - has Preston punching well above their weight this season, also has a record of success with Norwich.
David Moyes - free agent at end of the season and seems to thrive at clubs where he has a hands on chairman. Few stains on his record, but re-built Everton.
Phil Parkinson - performed miracles at Bradford and has done well to bring Bolton back into the championship despite having his hands tied behind his back.

What's the point in drafting up names like this, Lambert will be in charge, no doubt about it for me

You're pretty naive If you think this regime will bin a manager after a few months. Lambert IS their answer to the Championship and their perfect, cheap solution after they stumbled upon him after several others turned them down.

Maybe chuck Paul Cook and McInnes in there too?
Looks the kind of pool we'd be fishing in though.
Moyes maybe fav if he gets the bullet.

Mick McCarthy = failed at Ipswich not a chance would we have him Dean Smith = good shout Alex Neil = failed at Norwich but not doing to bad at Preston David Moyes = no thanks but could see the family liking him Phil Parkinson = job could just be a bit to big for him

Sounds about right, bar the fact MM has had zero money and the fans on his back, yet he kept them comfortably mid-table. I think, out of all of them, he's probably the one Coates would gravitate towards - experience, teams that graft and hands-on management? Check, Check and Check
Of course - it's all theoretical because we will undoubtedly stick by Lambert and, if things go tits up next season, dither over Sacking him until the damage has been done...

I'd keep Lambert. Hopefully he can do the same with us as he did with Norwich. We need to bring another goalscorer to the club though! Another...?

I suspect they will give Lambert until Christmas. Keeping him in the summer will see him try and push the likes of Berahinio, Wimmer e.t,c out of the club which will appeal to the board. A disciplinarian who will carry out the dirty work for those who signed the trash that got us in this mess. Once that duty is done they will give him the push come next December if he isn’t getting results.
If I’m wrong and the board pull the plug at the end of the season you would have to think Moyes would be top of the list considering we were close to appointing him earlier in the season.
Alex Neil is a good manager, who would be a realistic target. Would probably be my choice. I have been banging the Jokanovic drum for two seasons but that ship looks to have sailed.

Lambert said he was here for 15 games (to the end of the season) so I think the picture has changed from what we were led to believe. If Coates does sack him, and let's face it his record with us is bloody awful, I think Coates will go for Moyes who I thought was at WHU just to the end of the season so would be available. If we are getting rid (please) I hope it's straight after the final whistle at Swansea and get the new man in ASAP as we've no time to waste in this summer's transfer window.

Interesting as you say "Ive been brought in for these 15 games so I wont comment on that" but it could just be him trying to be modest in public.
