Probably not, but it's obviously annoyed a few. Anything that shows discontent amongst fans, players or the club who be managed out through media training 🙂

Imagine being annoyed by this. Some football fans are a bunch of absolute weirdos Am a bit confused. You kinda want your players 100% committed to the cause. Every football fan 100% supports his own team and generally hates everything to do with other clubs even more so when relegation rivals. This is pretty minor but just goes to show we've got players who don't really care that much. He's just liked a post where a direct rival have won and pulled away from us, international teammate or not... This has literally no bearing on his commitment one way or the other. It’s the non-story of non-stories.

Does him liking his teammates picture detract in any way whatsoever from our cause? Does it mean he'll play worse? Does it mean Huddersfield will play better? It's a like on a bloody picture. It's not even worth discussion at all. Look... if they are that much buddies then why didn't he send a personal message. To send something like that (In our current predicament) on social media is at best brain dead on Shaqiris part and at worst totally disrespectful to the fans of SCFC.

I just don't know why footballers put themselves in that situation at all.
Why do it?
Thick as a whale omelette all of them.

It’s the non-story of non-stories. I don't recall you offering a similar defence of kevin wimmer earlier in the season for a similar indiscretion. This group of players are the most dispicable bunch of gutless mercenaries I could ever have imagined playing for us. To a man, shawcross and BMI excluded, they are a complete bunch of wankers and shaqiri is as big a one as wimmer and berahino. EDIT - according to Paul Lambert, I should also exclude Mame Diouf from my sweeping generalisation of our playing staff!

It’s his international teammate... grow up. Did you extend the same leniency to wimmer after the spurs defeat? A result that pretty much condemned us to relegation and one of our players likes it. I'm not sure its me that needs to grow up to be honest. Maybe shaqiri needs to grow a brain cell. Think Jack of United, Jimmy of City. It’s a friend. In 20 years time they’ll probably still be friends, whereas very few Stokies will even remember him. He should snub his friend because half a dozen raving lunatic supporters may be offended?

There's a difference between one person literally seen celebrating with the opposition team at the end of a match after beating us, and a simple like from one international mate to another (not like he commented on the fucking thing). There's also a difference whereas one player who has been the single glimmer of hope staying up this season, given his all, and played some of the best football at the club while the others have flunked, and a player who couldn't be arsed to even get into playing shape, and has been genuinely shit playing for us. Like the others have said, a non-story. Take your head from out your arse and realise that Shaq isn't the one to blame here, if we weren't in this mess you wouldn't be saying anything.

If he sends a PM, all their mutual friends think Shaq is a sore loser. Shaq’s friends will be around a long time after he has left Stoke. Are you saying Lambert shouldn’t shake anyone’s hand after losing a game? It’s “well done” and start preparing for the next one.

Obviously if we werent in this mess it wouldnt matter. If we had been pipped to the title by huddersfield it would be the same thing though wouldnt it? That goal has effectively relegated us and shaqiri likes it. Nowhere have i said shaqiri is to blame for the mess we are in but this is just another example of exactly why we are in the mess we are in. The players do not give a flying fuck about the club, the supporters or their teammates.

Huddersfield results were one of the last straws we were clutching to. We all have different tolerance levels. This "like" in my opinion was just ill-judged and stupid.

Dave you're assuming that Shaqiri has even realised that THAT goal has sealed our relegation. Honestly mate, I wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprised if he hasn't even got the remotest clue that that is the case. He's liked his mate scoring a goal, his like started and ended with that fact and that fact alone.

I keep looking but I still can't see something wrong with someone liking a mates tweet, if he performs on the pitch he like as many as he wants, Wimmer did it and i didn't care then and this is no different.
