If possible he's worse than Wolly and that takes some doing, you only have to look where Wolly has finished up to see where this fat fecker is going, whoever signed him needs sectioning. Well we have got him for another four seasons unless we can dupe some fools into taking him off our hands, now that would be some deal. Mark Hughes ???????

He suitable for a quality attacking team. He a non defending defender. If possible he's worse than Wolly and that takes some doing, you only have to look where Wolly has finished up to see where this fat fecker is going, whoever signed him needs sectioning. Wolly was the linchpin in a injury ravaged defence that finished 9th two tears ago. He was far from perfect but he does not deserve to be compared to Wimmer. At £2.5M he was decent value.

If we can get £7+M for him we must sell immediately! He is crap, crap and crap! £7+M! If some one offers £1M we should accept it and get him off the wage bill. If he isn't good enough for a place on the bench of a team that are relegation favourites I can't see who would want him. I'd let him go for nowt.

He's not as bad as everyone says, but as said above we didn't need him. There was a logic to getting another centre back in as part of the plan to go to three at the back, whether Wwimmer was the right choice is a completely different matter. As we all know where the plan fell apart was the failure to sign any wing backs. There wasn’t, we had muni who was a fan favourite, in good shape, very capable and Tailor made for a back 3 But we offloaded him for peanuts. It made absolutely no sense.

At this stage Muniesa is still a Stoke player contracted until 2019 and one I really like. He is on a season long loan at Girona where he has managed just 10 games, your comments aout him being a fans favourite, very capable and tailor made for a back three are all correct unfortunately the comment he is in good shape is very rarely the case.

He's not the worst player I've seen at Stoke, but not far off. What really gets me though is the fee. From what I've seen of him this season he can't head straight, can't win aerial battles, isn't strong, can't pass, isn't Denis Smith 'hard', isn't vocal, has terrible positioning and is horrifically slow.
Of all that, if we were to buy into this 'fitness issue' rouse, surely only his pace and therefore possibly positioning would be affected? A few pounds overweight isn't going to turn him from Franz Beckenbauer to Titus Bramble.
So what the hell did someone at the club see in him to not only buy him, but to pay a near club record fee for? Surely for that money a player must have at least one stand out characteristic - pace, composure, passing etc - what's his?

Stop beating yourselves up. Wimmer was bought under the auspices of sustainability. A youngish player with re-sale value. Our brains trust thought the same about Imbula, Berahino, Shaq and the renewal of Bojan's (5?) year contract, when he was playing ok after his injury! They've just been unlucky!

Given that he has been as effective as Wilfred Bramble, we'd be lucky if anything could turn Wimmer into a Titus Bramnble.

Massively unfit.
He'll be OK as 3rd choice defender in the championship next season when Lambert gets him fit.

What do you mean by "fit"?
(1) He's just been injured? or (2) Not fit = fat?
How the heck could a footballer at pro level not be fit, as in (2)?
🤔

Ok we know he's been very poor since he arrived. But is there something more to it with this one? To have an academy player on the bench before him suggests maybe so.18m, massive wages, been completely excluded seemingly from the match day squad. What the hell is going on with this one? It's an even worse situation than with Berahinio which almost sounds impossible. With him we at least had warnings which we ignored but it hasn't come as a complete and utter shock. But with Wimmer, there was nothing to suggest he would be so unfit or unprofessional was there? Just wtf has happened with this one. Truly shocking and irresponsible spending from those responsible. Its totally inept to consider and then sanction the fee and wages for this player. He is awful, unfit and demotivated. its a shambles. Spurs must have pissed themselves when we came knocking SGS

Either Wimmer is totally shit or totally unfit. I'll go for both. He's now been on his fitness programme for about 2 months and still can't get near the match day squad. We've pissed some money these last couple of seasons but it takes a special kind of shitness to be the worst signing in the history of a football club.

We might as well accept that we`re stuck with him for a while yet, in which case, he needs to set weight loss targets over the close season and if he fails to meet them, fine him & keep fining him until he`s fully met them
