I’m not one for the nanny state or hiding away from risk, but if any one is mad enough to go then please don’t moan when you end up in bother and find there is no support. Russia is corrupt and state endorsed(or at least a blind eye turned) violence and dishonesty will only end in a negative outcome. This really is a case of “enter at your own risk”.

Fascinating logic. “How dare you bemoan our illegal use of biological warfare on your land” They don’t need or want a reason, they just fucking hate the English, even though they’ve based these “Ultras” on the hooligan firms of the 70’s. The World Cup should never have been in Russia anyway, doomed to senseless trouble from the start and such a shame for any innocent people going to watch.

Scarily organised hooligans in Russia, and yet nobody at FIFA says a word about it. A vast number are active duty armed forces too. Their hooligans are actually trained in H2H on army bases, or temp. bases set-up in the woods, by the same guys who train their soldiers. State-sponsored hooliganism is a thing in Russia. I've already said it numerous times, but this World Cup could possibly be the first where the number of murders and serious, life changing assaults outnumbers the number of goals scored.

I live in Doncaster. Surrounded by SWFC. SUFC and LUFC fans. Both Sheffield club fans are good lads, but modt Leeds fans are hell bent and going to Russia. I have know some crazy fans of our own but Leeds are absolutley hell bent on going over there creating havoc. There are a few of them that where filmed tusseling with Russian loons at the last World Cup. I am no angel myself where football is concerned but the Leeds loons are round the bend. I can see it going off big time and there will be loss of life. Stay well clear of the World Cup. Why anyone would want to visit the place is beyond me. Good luck to any Stokies thinking about going. You are going to need it.

Which way it will go will be entirely dependent on which way the Government want it to go.The whole farce in France was to portray the Russian race to be superior which is why they sent their best to Marseilles. They were on coaches out of the country the day after hailed as heroes. The whole thing is state sponsored and controlled.
In comparison, England's hard core, if one still exists, have had their passports taken off them for years now.

There is most certainly state endorsement at worst, or wilful blindness at best.

I’m going. So much knicker wetting going on about this. Russia won’t want this tournament marred by violence on their own soil. Obviously look for it you’ll find it.
This is the last tournament worth going too for another 8 years so let’s enjoy a new country and hopefully a good atmosphere

This is the last tournament worth going too for another 8 years so let’s enjoy a new country and hopefully a good atmosphere We've heard the, "They won't want trouble on their own soil" line before, but suppression of media & the Russians blaming trouble on England fans means it will remain a risk. Talking about The media, the Pravda headlines today that the only reason we're blaming them for the attempted assassination is because we're jealous of their World Cup.

Scaremongering media
Went to Brazil and what the Argentinians were going to do to us in Belo Horizonte as both teams crossed was nobodies business if you read the press prior to it and England were outnumbered probably 30/1
Nothing happened as both sets of fans mixed and mingled in the city centre
Russia will be the same

Steer well clear IMO.

Use your common sense and don’t go too far of the beaten track and I think England fans will be fine.
Putin will want the world to see a well run tournament and any Russians caught putting this at risk will find themselves in a Siberian prison for 6 months....

I know Politics and Sport should never ever be mixed together but after May's announcement today expelling 23 Russian Diplomats and the Royal Family/FA Officials now snubbing the competition, I think a wholesale pull out should be considered.
She makes reference to the safety of our citizens in Russia right now and thus will the WC be a perfect time for Putin and his gang to let the snarling dogs loose on our supporters as revenge. It's all looking very nasty indeed and call me a coward, but i'm going nowhere near it, not for a game of football.
I'm not sure its actually going to be that safe for our players to be there.

Don’t really care. I lost interest in whether England are playing or not some time ago. We’ll get through the group we’re in & then lose to the first good team we’re drawn against. So as usual it’ll be a big disappointment anyway.
