Name yours below....
That away at Newcastle a few years back when TWAtkinson sent 2 of our players off... I genuinely thought he was rigging the game (probably was)
Absolutely disgraceful.

I didn’t have the pleasure of seeing the Styles show v Gillingham or Twatkinson v Newcastle. So for me it’s got to be Andy Hall’s abysmally one sided starring role in the match v Coventry when both managers appeared together at the press conference afterwards to confirm that we had indeed just seen one of the all time worst refereeing performances.

Rob styles v gillingham. For such a big game to send off 2 players was abysmal! However the display from the remaining 9 that night still lives with me. How we could do with that spirit now.

Huth in the snow. Rory's red card at (Crawley?) was ridiculous as well, got rescinded I think... Can only think of moments really, we always get shafted so its kinda a "more or less" situation

I've seen quite a few that have convinced me that 'other forces' were at work including Styles against Gillingham, but for pure comedy gold (it didn't feel like comedy at the time though) nothing beats McNally's game when we played Burnley away and Smithy got sent off for wasting time when we were losing 2-1. But back in those days we called them 'Homers', and McNally was the perfect example of that, so much so that even the Burnley fans were having a good chuckle at his antics.
OS.

This performance sprung to my mind when I saw the post. The most inept display I have ever seen. I think we also had a poor ref at home v sheff United where a Sheff fan rang up 5 live to say they had been gifted ponts.

Whilst I think others have nailed it, I wanted to make an honourable mention of a time we benefited. Both of our goals when we relegated Bolton were dodgy as fuck. Chris Foy the man in charge.

I remember Stoke fans getting very angry about Alf Buksh sending off Peter Fox,(circa 1988?), for fouling Hull City’s Andy Saville outside the area in a one on one situation. It wouldn’t be an issue now, but straight reds for this kind of thing were virtually unheard of at the time.

A midweek fixture v Coventry. Can't remember the ref but Cov won the game and both managers laid into him after the game. He just lost control of the match and was booking players willy-nilly.

Styles' performance wasn't poor, in fact from an FA point of view it was just what 'the doctor' ordered.
He cheated to suit the FA agenda, nothing will convince me otherwise.

I can't remember the Hull game though Styles Foy Twatkinson Riley Mcnally all incompetent twats of the highest order, but Styles tops it just for the importance of the match at Gillingham (he then followed it up with that home game v derby in the cup a couple of years later?) was it our 2nd season up when we had about 8 games in a row when decisions went against us and TP had words with the FA? Tuncay's goal at Everton, Sidibe's at Villa etc. ?

It was a home match, maybe a few years after the gillingham game, may even have been our first season up actually thinking about it now he gave an injury time penalty against us for handball, which wasn't deliberate, also chalked off a goal for us for handball.

Andy Hall. I remember saying to one of my lads before Wayne Thomas was sent off that the ref had lost control of the game completely. Perhaps the most completely blatant act of bias I ever saw from a ref was Atkinson not sending off Mignolet for chopping down Diouf. The speed with which he got out his yellow for a clear red card offence witout so much as looking at his linesman proved he knew exactly what he was doing to get Liverpool off the hook. It was a suspicion confirmed when I read Clattenburg's comments about refs going into games with a 'plan' for how they would award decisions and to which team.

I think it was our first season in the Prem in a cup (don't know which) and Delap gave away a penalty in the last minute for handball when it clearly hit his chest. Fuming.

Some years ago at the Brit versus Coventry we had 2 sent off, disgraceful refereeing even the Coventry boss crititised him post match. He was a young red on a so called fast track to the top but can't remember his name think he refs in the prem now but not sure.

The linesman closest to us against Leicester was fucking terrible the other day.
As for referees, I wouldn't even know where to start. I don't think they do it on purpose, but some decisions are absolutely terrible.
They do say it evens out, so we're due some more penalties for Charlie & Jese to fight over soon.
