Why can't we? I don.t think we are worse than those two atm. City will play two games before next monday, cards, injuries and so on (ref Williams Everton). Next weekend a lot of teams around us will loose points playing against each other or top teams. I'm staying positive and don't even bother to read the graveyard posts. I read the table, i see every match in my living room on a big screen, i have followed Stoke since 1972 and there's no fat lady seen at the 365 yet, she's busy at The Hawthorns!! Against Man C we need to stop De Bryne,Silva and Sane to run the game, and as far as i can see it's only Zouma with his pace and strenght that can stop in top form Sane. I dont think Crouch alone on top will have a chance against Kompany and Otamendi but with Diouf injured, Berahino busy and Shop Nothing no threat maybe:
Butland
Zouma Indi Shawcross Pieters
Allen Badou Bauer Shaq Jese
Crouch Hopefully Shaq can create space for Bauer and Jese to give Crouch useful crosses,at least we can hope.
Support our manager and players, we still have all to play for, have another beer, watch Sane get injured tomorrow and cheer Up!!

1-0 to us, with the pundits horrified by our 4-2-3-1 formation and the fact that our only shot goes in off the post.
Man City, having turned up expecting a repeat of the drubbing they gave us in perfect conditions at home find themselves thwarted by stubborn do or die defending; 28,000 baying fans and a freezing rainstorm.
[Sadly, on current form the weather is likely to be my best prediction].

Good humour!! Probably what happened at Palace and Burnley, not to mention at Wigan who are well known for its bad weather!!

We will win.
Cameron will be sent off after 20 minutes for kicking the ball at Sterling, but then we'll score just before half time with a Choupo header off a Bauer cross. We'll then hang on until the end, with Sterling looking baffled at the crowd's insistent assertion that Berahino's his dad.

Because we havent got the bollocks. Its apology after apology week after week with this gang. Individuals earning big bucks and taking the piss. Not at all what it was like under Pulis. This club is going down the swanny because of bad bad decisions. everybody else has put a shift in but we are fucking toothless

Good old Geoff looked knackered today, is not in my team. But maybe Badou will? Sterling will be shit scared looking into Badous evil eye, fake an injury and call his mother within 10 minutes into the match!

Not sure we can compare ourselves to Burnley(Sadly), but they were mauled in that game against City and on another day it could have been double figures. We get City at a good time though and hopefully, they will be knackered fatigued and when we hit them so hard with our 1st tackle they will all decide to have a day off

They're 4-0 up.

Burnley did not win for a lot of games before today, still got a point. As for Palace and Wigan.. Its refreshing with replys like this, sensible and with a sniff of optimism even against a very good team. The players must be hungry for the narrow defeat me thinks!! One for the road mate

We're just going to ignore the fact that they've won eleven league away games this season are we?
If Burnley and Palace could draw against them, why couldn't Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd?

Post by bergenstokie on Mar 3, 2018 23:29:03 GMT
Well, then how could Burnley and Palace manage a draw, and Wigan ? I think thats because the City players are more motivated for the big games, maybe as well spare some players against teams in our position, have no other explanations. Ignoring nothing, all i'm saying is it must be possible for us if other teams can.

I hate the fact that i'm going to pay ยฃ30 petrol and drive a 4 hour round trip on a monday night to watch us get arsed by City.
Even worse that I have the hope we might pull of the impossible.
Wish I didn't love football.

Wonderful it is. What can possible stop you mate? You will probably get a personal meeting with Sterling on row 8 after a tackle by Badou

In our current position, parking the bus and hoping Shaq hits a wonder strike is a fair approach.
Just think how 0-0 could really get us going. Would probably mean we catch up with Huddersfields goal difference too. Then bring on a nervy Everton.

Could not agree more mate. Everton has nothing to play for and got Williams sent off today. I can see 4 points in the horizon and a big step towards a new season in the premier league with at least 2 new strikers!!

City may be playing two games before next Monday but a Bugatti Veyron will make two laps of the Nรผrburgring before a Ford Mondeo has even crossed the starting line.
Get my drift?
