What does Lambert in a square mean? Its a cap David It's a square on my screen. Anyhow, that line-up would be far too adventurous for the capped one. He'd at least have to bring Salif Diou in from nowhere.

Well said OP. We can get something from Man City. We don't just owe them either, 7-2 is a life time worth of revenge for me, no matter how good their current team is.
Get The Brit rocking, be the 12th man we need and Stoke will do what Stoke does - upset the apple cart!

We can win if we come with maximum aggression and get a bit of luck (with City having a rare off day in front of goal). If the weather is shitty and they don't really fancy it (they don't need the points and we really do) then something special could happen. I wouldn't be super shocked if we did pull off the upset. But then again 0-6 wouldn't massively surprise me either. We shall see.

We would struggle to take a point against Hanley Town

Well, well, how about that. Walker out with calf problems, Sterling out with muscular problems(didn't know he had any) Fernandinho and Mendy already out and for long is Delph banned? Who else will be injured/sent off against Chelsea? Hot head Aguero with Kompany limping off after 16 minutes and Fabregas will hit David Silva so hard in his nuts that he cant walk properly for 10 days!!

Thank OP makes a valid point. It's a big ask against arguably the best team in Europe right now. Wigan did it though and we have to hope they're not on their game.

Davef. Hopefully he will rest him against us as well. I hope they beat Chelsea so they can turn all their attention to the Champions League. Walker was a doubt, hopefully its a risk taken, substituded after 25 minutes with an even worse calf strain! We have to take what we can get

It's almost exactly a year ago since we drew 0-0 at the Etihad and our team that day was possibly worse than the team we have now. Having said that, Man Citeh are much better now than they were then.

Good old Geoff looked knackered today, is not in my team. But maybe Badou will? Sterling will be shit scared looking into Badous evil eye, fake an injury and call his mother within 10 minutes into the match! "Badous evil eye" - didn't realise he only had the one? Middle of his forehead? Wow, he is more of a Stokie than I realised

Let's be honest. They have nothing to play for after last night.
I'm expecting Pep to start resting players with the CL his priority. Jesus will start ahead of Aguero and Sterling will probably still be out. I know I'm clutching at straws but I'm strangely optimistic. We've at the very least got some fight back under Lambert.

One of their players said before they beat Chelsea. They want to wrap up the Prem title as quickly as possible then they can concentrate on the Champions league. They need another 4 wins for that starting with Stoke.

Why can't we? I don.t think we are worse than those two atm. City will play two games before next monday, cards, injuries and so on (ref Williams Everton). Next weekend a lot of teams around us will loose points playing against each other or top teams. I'm staying positive and don't even bother to read the graveyard posts. I read the table, i see every match in my living room on a big screen, i have followed Stoke since 1972 and there's no fat lady seen at the 365 yet, she's busy at The Hawthorns!! Against Man C we need to stop De Bryne,Silva and Sane to run the game, and as far as i can see it's only Zouma with his pace and strenght that can stop in top form Sane. I dont think Crouch alone on top will have a chance against Kompany and Otamendi but with Diouf injured, Berahino busy and Shop Nothing no threat maybe: Butland Zouma Indi Shawcross Pieters Allen Badou Bauer Shaq Jese Crouch Hopefully Shaq can create space for Bauer and Jese to give Crouch useful crosses,at least we can hope. Support our manager and players, we still have all to play for, have another beer, watch Sane get injured tomorrow and cheer Up!! we're not worse than Burnley? unfortunately we are imo.

Sterling will be shit scared looking into Badous evil eye, fake an injury and call his mother within 10 minutes into the match! Geoff is the major reason we've looked solid in midfield and in defence, you can drop him but suffer the consequences. He's got nine days to recover, that should be enough. With him in the team we might just win.

We'll no doubt finally manage to get two goals in a game but it'll be wasted in a 4-2 defeat. Before frustratingly drawing a blank against Everton. Just seems to be the way the season is going.
