Four keepers for two games? Has he not got the balls to leave Hart out?

No Cahill.
Doesn't look like he'll be going to the World Cup now.

I think Southgate's has got one of the most challenging jobs in football.
Each Prem League club is now playing on average 2-3 English players per game. Add to this that we have almost zero English players playing abroad.
Its a very narrow pond, never made a pool.
He'll get lambasted whatever.
I think the inclusion of Hart makes sense, you've got 3 very inexperienced and unproven keepers and even though Hart has not got form he has experience which can contribute and that is lacking in abundance throughout the squad. At the same he's looking to include players from what are often described as unfashionable clubs.
Basically we don't have any World class players in that squad. That's the reality of the Premier League.

Lewis Cook is a little prick and he’s shite too but he’s got picked because he plays for that vile club Bournemouth.
Why do we have 4 keepers in the squad and why is Hart in there? Haugaard is on a par with him, goal resulting clangar every game.
Don’t even get me started on Wilshere.

Yes, I too am sick of the England squad being full of Bournemouth players.....bloody favouritism!!!......why can't we just stick to English Man Utd reserves and youth team players?

Discussion about the squad on 5 Live.
Ian Dennis of the BBC and Chrissy Waddle both seem to be pretty confident it'll be Butland who starts the World Cup as No.1.
I'd got the impression Pickford had edged ahead

I'd got the impression Pickford had edged ahead Probably in the balance. Pickford has the better kicking, but both are excellent otherwise. You'd think Jack's in the driving seat though, just needs to avoid breaking a bone this time around.

He stated it 6 months ago after some real dodgy performances, why else bother calling him up? Pope has no experience, Pickford one cap, don't know about under age caps, Jack 6 caps and bags of U21 tournament experience, as captain too. Then theres Joe Hart, 60 odd caps is it? Been around a long time. Will be interesting this.

How the fuck has Joe Hart got in the squad?! Forget this bullshit about his ‘experience’ why is that needed for 2 friendlies? He should be nowhere near the England team IMO

I will see most of it and definitely the final between Sweden and Brazil on July 15th, 5 pm, where Ken Sema comes on in the 74th minute and scores the winning goal just four minutes later in a counterattack. Revenge!
What's the odds on this?
England beat Germany and get the bronze.

Stones-Dier-Maguire Walker-Henderson-??-Rose ??-?? Kane
Looks like one of: Wilshere/Lallana/Oxlade/Cook/Delph/Winks (and maybe Loftus-Cheek) alongside Henderson in midfield in the summer then?
With 2 of Sterling, Alli, Rashford, Lingard, Lallana supporting Kane further forward.

Was always going to be so based on two factors. Distribution and the England goalkeeping coach happening to also be the Everton goalkeeping coach.

Underwhelming! I hope no one has booked time off for the knock out rounds! Probably will look a bit better with Kane and maybe Lallana in, come the World Cup. And they still should be able to beat Panama and Tunisia to get out of the groups and into the last 16, you'd hope. And then they'll have a 50-50 game against one of Poland/Colombia/Senegal to get to the Quarter-Final. If they manage that, they've done okay.

If we put Rashford central and Alli out on the left, what is the point in that? Rashford will always drift out left anyway and Alli is a central player but not really a striker. It makes no sense. Young is not the best defender either, in fact he is not a good defender at all for me, and we will probably be "got at" down that left side if he goes with Alli-Young. Maybe he thinks Gomez has enough about him to protect Young a bit but I dunno. Seems dodgy. I feel like we are back to shoehorning players again.
