Yeah, probably is a coin toss mate. Although I wouldn't rule out Southgate going with Hart.

I think England are in a worse place than Stoke squad wise.
There are hardly any English players starting for Premiership clubs. On average 2 for each club weekly.
Most of those are not regulars for their clubs (Rose, Henderson, Lallana, Stones, Rashford, Lingard, Cahill, Drinkwater, Jones)
I don't think we can cobble together 11 who are a) in form and b) match fit

Not bothered with England since consecutive managers disregarded shawcross in his prime for the So called bigger club centre halves ,Jones, smalling,Cahill etc, I know he’s average now but in his prime he was equal to any of them.

Boris Johnson is saying England will not compete at the World Cup if Russia has anything to do with the Spy that has been found dead. Erm.. He's not dead! He is critical though along with his daughter. Haven't been following the story, not my thing, until the football was mentioned. Don't really see the point in mixing the football with politics because of this matter though - the snake got taught a lesson in reality. That is my personal view.

No he wasn't. Shawcross, under Pulis, played in one of the most defensive sides known to man so had more protection than any of the other defenders you mention. As soon as he lost this protection he became nothing more than a slow hard-working slogger who was nowhere near England level.

I saw a tweet earlier saying heroin and cocaine will be allowed into the stadiums... good news for the England players and their wags.

Govt spokesperson states Boris was referring to 'officials' not the team. Fuck knows what that means. I think he was referring to FA delegates and people like the Minister for Sport who often gets a free trip to these sorts of events. Sometimes the likes of Prince William might go as well.

I love the World Cup. FIFA may be corrupt etc but why let that spoil the spectacle? 3 matches per day every day for a couple of weeks is just brilliant. And then there's the side show of England and we get to indulge in a bit of false hope. And every couple of decades when we actually put a decent run together the mood in the country is fantastic.

Rashford or Vardy up front in the friendlies for England now? Would appear so. They kept bigging up Glen Murray on Soccer Saturday yesterday, will he actually get a call up? And who will be the 4th? No one is on form. Welbeck Solanke Abraham Who else?

Sky saying early indications on Kane are potential ankle ligaments - similar injury to one he got last year (although don't suppose they can really know much yet)
6-7 weeks or so would be perfect for us, ruling him out of their game here, and giving him a nice rest for the World Cup.
Hopefully nothing worse than that!

100% he will be fit before the World Cup , if it is just a strain he may be fit for their game against Chelsea, if it is a ligaments tear he needs 5-7 weeks.

No one is on form. Welbeck Solanke Abraham Who else? Assuming Kane's fit for the World Cup, will we need to take 4 strikers? Southgate tends to play one up front. Not counting Sterling (15), Lingard (8) and Alli (6), the cupboard is bare. Presumably it'd be Welbeck who's called up for the friendlies with Rashford and Vardy (although there has been talk of Murray and strange talk of Calvert-Lewin!?) Kane 24 Vardy 14 Murray 11 Rooney 10 Wilson 7 Austin 6 Rashford 6 Barnes 6 Deeney 5 Gayle 5 Abraham 4 Calvert-Lewin 4 Gray 4 Rodriguez 4 Crouch 3 Welbeck 3 Defoe 3 Carroll 2 Sturridge 2 Walcott 2 Solanke 0
