I think I do, Pulis got the best out of him. Would be a good addition.

true wud be a good addition... but id question his commitment...
he snapped Sunderlands hand off wen they came in for him...
But...
His last performance against Cardiff on the opening day was top class even tho the saga was on going...
good squad player.

I think we could do much worse if he's available at 1.5-2m. He hsan't been a disaster at Sunderland, just hasn't got a lot of action.
Gary Hackett seems to think it' nailed-on as his wife hasn't settled, or something.

I'd take him back; He's a leader, which is what we've been missing in defence since he went. His experience at Sunderland will have done him no harm. His distribution wasn't bad either. I was also going to include his penalty-taking ability, but let's face it, we'll only be given about two all season in the Prem! I don't blame him for knobbing-off to Sunderland - it's a short career, and he's got to take his opportunities when they come. Let's not kid ourselves about loyalty - Liam, Ricardo and even the chest-thumpers like Dicko would all be off like a shot if what they perceived as a better job came along.

Wasn't a rather dodgy half at Rochdale his last appearance before his "injury" kicked in.

A half made dodgy due to injury, perhaps?

Yes, one of those magic injurys that cleared up on the day he started recieving Premier League money. Shock! Horror! An injury that clears up after a couple of games' rest! Who'd have thunk it? I don't know enough about the situation back then to be able to say whether it was a genuine problem or not - Nor do any of us for that matter. I just think it's healthy to occassionally lose the cynicism.

gloucesterstokie isnt that where you hope stoke will be cus i would gladly take sunderlands final postion. Higgy was a very good player for us and we sold him for a hefty price tag. Anyone who moves gets shit on here but its life. The fact that he go offered more money and the chance of premier football who can blame him for moving.
Love to see him back top player who had a decent season in the prem last year when i saw him.

Dexter I thought he was excellent for us however he was fit to play against Southampton but preferred not to, only to miraculously recoverin time to be fit as a fiddle for a game at Old Trafford for his new club a few days later.
If he does come back then I'll shut up and have to lump it but as Club Captain at the time he behaved disgracefully.

What is it with Stoke Captains? Doobs and Higgy get made captain and then demand a move to another club. Dom gets made captain, gets injured and never plays for us again before being released. Griff does it arse about face, he fecks off to another club and then moves back and is made captain!

ABSOLUTELY NOT, FAILED IN THE PREM last year, Sunderland were robbed of £3M. Unless he was available for say £999999.99 and not a penny more!!!

No.
Riggot is better, and we should focus our attentions on him.
I also believe that there are Central Defenders that Pulis could bring who are equally as good as Higgy who would cost significantly less. One thing is for certain, Pulis can spot a Centre-Half when he sees one and i expect him to choose the right man. But Higgy isn't he.

Morning, i'm an old poster that never made it over to this board but always reading what's going on.
At Rochdale Higgy definitely went over on his ankle (cause i saw him do it) on the edge of the pitch trying to slow down after a clearance. He played on for a bit then Tone brought him off, so no question as to whether he was injured or faking it, (obviously might of elaborated on the extent of the injury though).
It all depends on how much we are looking to spend on a centre half if we want to spend 1-2 mil probably not much better out there and should fit straight back into the suqad, anymore and its a big no no.
For me 1.5 mil IF he shows he's committed and its not just an easy option to come back then its a good deal.

Higgy has done OK to good @ Sunderland if you ask Sunderland fans they say he's not bad.
I dont know if Higgy feigned injury or not & neither does anyone else on this MB. given the ONLY place that has been suggested is on this MB I think its daft to consider it fact or even likely.
by all means consider it a possibility but if it was true,or even he suspcted it,would TP want him back?
the only reservation I have is that ideally we would have a right footer to play alongside Ryan.
be amazed if Stoke signed a better CB this summer than Higgy.

I would take him back, but i really can't see why Keane would sell him, afterall he's only been at Sunderland one season and had a solid season overall.

He's a good defender and would be a good addition at the back. He would bring premiership experience for our youger defenders. He followed his ambition when he left, he nearly didn't go. He only did what 90% of us would have done so there should be no bitterness.
I would welcome him back without question.

If he is to come back, Pulis will have talked to him about his departure and how our fan base won't be forgiving as we don't forget things easily. Pulis only has to look at himself to find an example of this. If Higginbotham still wants to come then, he will have sufficient commitment to the club. Sign him up.

If available at less than we sold him for, I don't think there's much better in the kind of market we'll be operating in. Pulis would always prefer a solid Brit wherever possible.
If Riggott can be tempted closer to Derby, maybe we'll see the pair of them.
And they'd both come as 100% guaranteed fits in the dressing room etc, with their characters known quantities to Pulis.
