We were 2nd. best against Wolves,Bristol C and even 4th.tier Coventry. On those showings we will do well to avoid going down to Div 1.

The saddest thing will be the effect on the local economy and the fact that people will lose jobs but lets not make the Premier League something it isn't. It's by and large crap, full of over paid wankers thinking they're doing us a favour. You get Glenn Murray this morning backing Mahrez for not turning up to work, some of these cunts want to discover what its like in the real world.
As for the fare on offer, well give me Birmingham V Villa this lunchtime over Huddersfield versus those media lovey cynical rats from the south coast any day of the week.

Was chatting to my mate about this yesterday.
The PL is the division to be in because it's got the best players but there's a lot of negatives too.
1) We wont ever win it. 2) For the last few seasons we've just been mid table with little to play for and because of the lack of spending it's become stagnant. 3) The football is a lot more honest. 4) The glory hunters will disappear. 5) We might get players who play with passion and a few youngsters might get a chance. 6) More games 7) More Derbies 8) We might just have a chance of winning games and going up.
It's not all doom and gloom and just because the chips are down you don't stop supporting the Potters whoevers wearing the shirt.

OK mate, but I'd rather you didn't lose the money if you don't have the funds, even if it is effectively a donation to a good cause. Plus, you don't sound convinced you're going to win! I'd rather take the bet with someone who's confidently stating we're gonna stay up, like Volvic but he's been very quiet since I offered! £20 says we're going down. Same conditions. Confirm if you want it, no shame if you don't. for the love of my club and the small charitable donation I'm in. £20 to Donna louise from you if we stay up. £20 to donna louise from me if we go down. Kudos to you, samba, for being brave enough to back yourself when many others disappeared! VolvicStokie, yes I mean you! But a bet is a bet. I'm sure the DLT will appreciate the cash enormously.

I'd be looking forward to it if we got rid of the manager and transfer team. So as things stand, nah not really.

The club will be more reliant on the 'money grabbing twats' when we're in the Championship. People will be losing their jobs when the club goes down. And not the people that deserve it. The Championship isn't what it was when we were in it. It's a fucking basket case of a league. The side we got promoted with wouldn't be close to going up in the championship as it currently stands. He's a mad league and people are underestimating how hard it will be. The fact all 3 promoted clubs are likely to stay up tells you that. Watching a cheaply assembled dad's army lumping the ball up to the big man doesn't exactly excite me.

What I'm dreading about being in the Championship is the season-long relegation battle, the multiple four goal tonkings, and the fight to stay up at the end of the season.

I have never understood this JCL/ Glory hole thing. Maybe because I've moved away and only get to 6-8 home games a season? More people simply means more income and exposure for the club surely. All seems a bit cock wavey and small time to me. And this from someone who still thinks the Lou years were amongst the best of times! Not that I'd want a Fulham style neutral zone tho'!

It is a horrible league. The football is shit, and then there is that horrendous channel 5 highlights program. Anyway, championship here we come! There are plenty of championship clubs who play better football than we have for the last two years. Correct. It's nigh-impossible to get out of. Much harder than staying up. It's miles further ahead than when we were last in it. Folk should wait until the defeats start rolling in, when thoughts of 'bouncing back' are given the reality-check they warrant. Then there will be yet another season, and another, and another ... as the money and investment dwindles further

Then there will be yet another season, and another, and another ... as the money and investment dwindles further We need to do it in the first 2 years while we have the parachute payments. If not, any good players we've managed to convince to stay will go and we'll need a lot of new investment. Which I don't see coming from PC.
