He will be here next season in the Championship - you know it and I know it - it is what Coates does. That's the sad Reality.. you can hear them saying it come May " we think he's the ideal candidate , he has experience in the Championship ...look what he did with Wolves against us in the cup" Anyone can beat us in the cup so even when he played a weakened tem we were gutless... Cheap appointment that they class as a 2 for 1 appointment with experience in both divisions!!
So far seen nothing to say I was wrong he was a poor appointment but a very much Coates type appointment. Will be interesting / scary when we face anyone with pace , power and goals! Then we will see if we can defend!

Should have gone for Gary Monk! He's a good manager. This squad though, is a joke! How these fools have allowed this to happen beggars belief!

Paul Lambert delight at getting the Stoke job was matched only by the delight of supporters of all of the clubs in the relegation mix
The way Watford acted decisively the minute things looked questionable for them matched only by our embarrassing pursuit of a new manager when we clearly had been on the slide for the best part of two years with Mark Hughes
I'd argue that there are League 1 clubs better run than ours

Its something within the club. Lambo came v huddersfield got it up the pitch quickly and played on the break. Mr coates "this is not how the game should be played, you must make 300000 passes before you create a chance, we want the club to make us look proffesional so people choose bet365. For the momey will we risk relegation to play in a style that is no longer used but looks good"

If I was Peter Coates, and I had hundreds of millions of pounds with no idea what to do with it. I'd call carlos carvahal, explain to him that he will never get any backing at Swansea and that this time next year he will have been sacked, and tell him to walk out on Swansea right now!. Lambert is completely out of his depth.

He impressed me with his attitude early on. All that good will he earned went out the window when I checked the team news and saw he’d picked Darren Fletcher ahead of Cameron or Adam yesterday.
It was obvious what was going to happen, we were practically playing with 10 men because when he wasn’t twatting the ball to no-one, Fletcher was unable to even control the ball properly on several occasions, way too slow to get near the opposition to make a tackle, and he had the turning circle of a cruise ship.
I never want to see Darren Fletcher in a Stoke shirt ever again.

I think we’re down already but if we do scrape by and stay up I think Lambert as to go either way , he’s not good enough to improve in this division and if u give him a chance in the championship and he does get us up we will be in the same situation again

If, or when, we go down, he simply can't remain as manager. He was a joke of an appointment
Sadly will we be in a position to get anyone better in the summer?
It's all so depressing.

Let's be brutally honest about this. He is a manager not one single supporter would have picked and there is a very good reason for that. Wrong - 2 people voted for himHe's got the job having impressed with his knowledge of our players, strengths and weaknesses, yet he arrived without a single striker in his mind that he wanted to sign. He is bound to have been recommended by some one before the Board would consider looking at him. That's the way it works with managerial appointments. He then proceeds to tell everyone that we were excellent at Bournemouth then drops some physicality and energy in favour of Fletcher. I agree; but it appears to me he is giving everyone a game and probably thought Fletcher was fresher as he hadn't played. He sets the team up to press and then starts crouch. Crouch puts in more effort pressing than Shaq or ChoupoHe had the opportunity to bring bojan back, a player loved by match going supporters (not me I might add) and his fellow players, a player who would undoubtedly have lifted everyone and in his 4th game in charge he deploys berahino in the no10 position. That's just being plain argumentative, saying he should have done something you don't agree with, please get a grip of yourself. Berahino hasn't started a game (yet). His new left back, he sticks in midfield. Good idea IMO. We needed more fresh legs to attack; Stafy is an attacking style player. PL was just giving him a taste of Prem football and watching how he performed. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kostas_Stafylidis - see style of play.We have a goalscoring youngster in the club who we allegedly turned down loan moves for, then proceed to persist with Saido. If Campbell isn't a better option than berahino he might as well find himself a new club or even retire. I'm sure PL is giving all the senior players a go, before he reverts to youth. I suspect we might see Crouch given another start and Berahino a start before Campbell is tried. As Crouch says in his book, it is huge step up to Premier L football and it took him a long time to adjust and grow into it.The new manager seemingly hasn't sorted a designated penalty taker. Wrong, Adam is the penalty taker, everyone knows that except Jese.We have a young winger who is very raw but works hard up and down the pitch, who scored twice over Christmas and again in a reserve game, yet he hasn't played a single second under the new manager whilst some lousy tosspot who has pissed around for half a season immediately gets game time. Agreed, Ramadan should be given a chance. Our new manager talks great but he's a clueless fucking idiot who hasn't got a fucking clue about anything. He doesn't know where to turn for a solution to his and his teams ineptitude. He is actually vastly more experienced than the vast majority of posters on here and managed clubs in the Prem. He is trying very hard to work with what he has got and personally I am desperate that he succeeds. I know what it feels like to be relegated and I for one don't want to go there again. To top it all off he then proceeds to give the most laughable, deluded interview to the local radio station where he describes our performance as excellent, claims we have a really good team and then says he's disappointed by the break because we are in really good form. Good managers don't say publicly what they say behind closed doors. To publicly criticize the team is hugely damaging to morale. They need to be pulling together not pulling apart. We played badly, but also did actually miss a penalty and had a ball cleared that was nearly over the line, and Adam was fouled when he went to put the ball in after the penalty. Such are the fine margins between victory and a draw.Seriously? Just fuck off and take coates Jnr, scholes and cartwright with you. Useless fucking wankers the lot of them. That's your considered opinion then. If we win away in the next 2 matches, please put the same effort in to complementing the club's players and officials.

I've seen improvement. Our players who are worth using are Butland Bauer shawcross Zouma Bruno stafylidis Pieters Cameron Allen Badou Diouf shaqiri Jese choupo sobhi Take this 15 a side and drill them. The lads are in 6 days a week. Take shaqiri off the wing. Butland Shawcross Zouma Bauer Cameron Bruno Badou Pieters Diouf shaqiri jese Are you in love with Kurt Zouma? The bloke is a walking calamity; he's got the turning circle of an aircraft carrier, his touch is about as gentle as a wrecking ball and despite being a man mountain he pokes into challenges like he has brittle bone syndrome. I'm convinced it's in his contract that he has to play because he's absolutely fucking awful.
