Give me one glimmer of hope that we can survive and you aren't allowed to say there are other shit teams in this league. What attribute do we have that makes you think we can save ourselves? I was thinking about this earlier, Dave. Hughes has assembled a nothing team, where there isn't enough outright quality , and not enough battlers to make up for it.

We just need a bit of luck a bit like Watford had today with an early sending off and teams with other things on there mind. With Man C walking the league I can see some of the big clubs taking their foot off the pedal. We look a better side now just need some confidence and breaks go our way. One things for sure though we have to win Sat. I'm convinced we still would have lost Hope chelsea dismiss conte so they get a new manager bounce next week vs wba We were excellent v Bournemouth but faded badly because of a complete lack of fitness (down to Hughes). We have 2 excellent new players plus Jese back. With Lambert in charge we’ve looked a better side who will get better. A couple of wins and we could be like a different side. Confidence is a huge thing. We’re not adrift yet.

Southampton have the same quality as us. They're struggling just as much as we are. I think they have more than us. And the also have the luxury of still having to play us at their place!! I don't, they're as bad as us. Opinions, eh.

If palace lose Zaha for the rest of the season they could easily slip. Everton, spurs, Man U and Chelsea their next 4 games. Our only hope is keeping everyone fit and other teams losing key players

Saturday is obviously massive but I believe we'll win and also believe Brighton will be one of the three that goes.

Come on then....if you had to bet your life on it.....away against Swansea....we are screwed. I don’t think we will make it that far though.....we will be gone beforehand.

Zahara is a huge player for them. Possibly more so than any other player at a bottom half club.

It's between us, Brighton and Swansea to join Huddersfield and WBA, I feel. We simply have to beat both of them in our run-in, no matter what.
It could all come down to the last day at the Liberty........

There is too much negativity and doom and gloom on this MB. I hope the people at the club have got more character and fight in them than many posters on Oatcake. There is no doubt we are deeply in the mire, and to make matters worse, some of our main opponents to avoid relegation have woken up and started to play as evidenced by Swansea's, Bournemouth's and others recent results, and tonight Watford who have joined Palace in beating the Champions. But there are lessons to be learnt from those victories. OBSERVE THIS: www.soccerstats.com/team.asp?league=england_2015&teamid=25 Leicester are one of many clubs that started a late recovery to avoid relegation, in their case they didn't start winning till April. Other clubs have done the same in the most most notably Wigan, who did it repeatedly. This season can still be turned round. We can still get our players fit. Lambert can still organize the defence to stop conceding goals. If any of the players are as defeatist as some posters on this board they need to be dropped immediately. Goal difference is clearly against us, but we are lucky in currently having less injuries than some of our competitors, or we had early in the season. Football is a team game, it is not about individuals, and there is still time to start playing better as a team and improve passing and creating goal scoring opportunities. This relegation battle is still between 10 or more teams, none of them are safe and the one's in greatest danger of going down are the one's who start thinking they are safe. This season will not be defined by the result against Brighton on Saturday, either one way or the other. It will be defined by whether the club can repeat some of the surprise results against Arsenal and ManU early in the season. No club's results go to forecast, even this season's ManC. We saw in the first half last Saturday that there is capability and potential in the team to get results.

You've just forecasted 20th? Yes. I just input my match predictions in to the calculator and that was what it spat out. I won't necessarily be right though. The point I was making here is that there appears to be some tacit suggestion that if we are to be relegated then it will be in 18th place with 2 teams below us. I don't think that is necessarily the case, we are more than capable of finishing 19th or 20th!

Very little has changed after the Watford result tonight. Instead of any three from ten, it's now any three from nine. I have no idea what will happen. Neither has anyone else. All I know is that we now have maybe twelve cup finals to play. It is all rather exciting. Better than mid-table obscurity that so many 'fans' were constantly moaning about, eh! OS.

For an outside view, none of the pundits on Radio 5 last night predicted us to get relegated. West Brom, Huddersfield, Newcastle and Brighton were mostly mentioned.
