He means they have 6 points gap + massive goal difference so you can consider it as 7 points gap. Sorry, Doc. It was bad English humour!

Would they have won 11 against 11?. If they lose at West Ham Saturday, their new manager will have the same record as Lambert as so far.

Well none of the so called bigger teams have done us any favours just lately. Not only are likes of Watford, Swansea, Bournemouth etc beating the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea... they are doing so comfortably and convincingly, whilst we have shipped 3,4,5 goals against them... and on top of that have FAILED in beating the likes of Watford (at home) , Swansea and Bournemouth ourselves. As said above, this season goes from bad to worse. Whilst I'm not consigned we're relegated already, we've got some massive and unexpected results to get ourselves. We still have to play Liverpool and Chelsea. It's up to us to do what the " likes of Watford, Swansea, Bournemouth etc" have done. If we do we deserve to stay up. If we don't then we'll go down deservedly. Simple, isn't it?

With this kind of result I get less and less belief we can stay up Me too. On top of being poor, lady luck appears to have deserted us this year too. You can't tell me Bournemouth and Watford can collectively put seven past Chelsea without something being amiss there. Good timing for them, what did we get? 9-0 aggregate smashing. Its just not our year. If we stay up I'll be astonished.

Let's hear no crap about conspiracies. If we go down it's because we're a poor side ran by a penny-pinching owner who dithered and dallied over replacing a failing manager and then replaced him with a panic appointment because he acted too late and was forced into a corner. Watford acted quickly, replaced a manager whose heart wasn't 'in it' and look like they've found another decent coach. They had a plan, with a replacement brought in immediately. Can anyone imagine this Stoke side playing with the verve Watford just showed? So let's forget conspiracies and focus our sights on where the blame actually lies. Unless the FA banned Coates from sacking Hughes until mid-January and then told him not to fund a striker signing?
We're being left behind by the likes of Bournemouth and Watford. And yes, I'm fucking fuming.

When you see the teams around us like swansea bournemouth and watford getting these results against the big trams while ee get beaten for 3,4,5 and 7s you have to admit we are overall the worst team in the PL bar none
Thats the painful truth
And we will get relegated i have no doubts now

We are a far better side now. The thing that’s costing us is fitness which needs to improve massively. I think not getting a CF could cost us but this team for me is better than most in the bottom half. Just need a bit of confidence.
Butland
Bauer Ryan Indi Eric
Geoff Joe Badou
Shaq Diouf Jese / Choupa

Whilst I don't think we'll ship 3,4,5 against them like we would have / did have under Hughes... I can't for the life of my see us being the ones putting 2,3,4 past them. Of course I'll be the first to hold my hands up if I'm wrong, and my god I hope I am!

Makes 0-0 a bloody good result against Watford! And to only lose by 1 goal away to Bmouth when Chelsea lost at home by 2 makes it another not so bad result!
Win Saturday and we start to look up. Lose and we can probably forget about it.

Strange as it may seem having a couple of teams like Watford and Bournemouth doing well (who we have played twice) could do us some favours - they could take a few more points off some of those around us - it could make the final outcome less of a lottery. The flip side is we need three teams to go the other way. Huddersfield are one and we've got an opportunity to nudge Brighton that way at the weekend.

The top sides are all vulnerable ... there's hope yet. Could you genuinely have seen us conceding in the 82 minute against Chelsea and then coming back in the same way that Watford did tonight? We'd have more likely lost 4-1 than won 4-1.

We'd have more likely lost 4-1 than won 4-1. Irrelevant. I am just saying that the top sides are showing vulnerability. We have all looked at our fixtures coming up and tried to see where we can get points. I'm pretty sure that most of us have discounted gaining any points from the big boys. I'm sure that we are all hoping and praying that we stay up. If we do, I dare bet that the points that we won to stay up, will not have come from the predictions that we might be making at the moment. I can see us probably getting a win or maybe two draws against the top teams, and losing against Brighton. This is Stoke City that we are talking about here. I know that this board has the most infallible ITK members, but they cannot predict the future.

You can to an extent, we are far more likely to beat Brighton at home than we are Man City and you don't need to be an infallible ITK to understand that. And of course how we would have reacted in the same situation as Watford found themselves in tonight is relevant, otherwise your claim that the top teams are vulnerable is spurious. They're only vulnerable if we've got the goods to exploit their weaknesses. We would have been blowing out of our arses by the 82nd minute tonight and there is no way we would have come back from an equaliser to score three in the manner that Watford did.

Do you really beleive we can do that Joe ... ? I certainly dont I believe we can. Honestly. Whether we do or not...... The brutal truth joe is our players simply are not good enough and that’s been the case since last summer , like Huddersfield we are simply finding our rightful position , caused by years of off field incompetence and under investment , l fear we might actually fall away quite rapidly after Brighton as they realise the games up
