Just can't see us winning 4 games from 12 we have only won 6 from 26. That’s the same for pretty much every team down there though surely?

After reading through this thread, I reach for my well thumbed copy of Eyore's Little Book of Gloom.

We will not accumulate another 10 points for the rest of the season imo as the players are shot both mentally and physically. I like lambert and nothing would give me more pleasure than to see him secure our safety but realistically the championship awaits.

We're already into a situation where we're going to need an unlikely result from somewhere to even reach 38 points. One thing's for certain: at best, we're going into the last game needing a result at Swansea. i think right now we'd all take that scenario. Based on form so far this season, we are looking at maybe 10 more points at best but that's assuming winning the so called winnable home games like Palace, Everton and Burnley or pulling a rabbit out of a hat.

Optimistic IMO. be lucky to get another 5 points. Shows over. Think we'll still get 11-12 points, but I don't think that will be enough.

Wouldn’t it be good if our performances even gave you a glimmer of hope that such things as away wins at Leicester or Southampton were possible - or even a ground out point against Spurs or Liverpool - but sadly they don’t.

Whether we have it in us to avoid relegation, who knows? I just want this horrible season over with and to start again. Die-hard fans falling out with each other, little faith in the Board, the players, or the manager, it's dreadful. Got so low that the players are scrapping on the pitch over who takes a penalty; how embarrassing is that?
After 10 mostly wonderful years, it's all just become an irritable disjointed mess. And it's that lack of cohesion that will ultimately send us down.

Based on 27 games delivering 25 points and that form continuing, I'd say another 9 or 10 points from our remaining 11 games.
36 pts total, you can stay up with that but its 50/50.

My revised list based on recent performances: Leicester 0 Soton 1 Man City 0 Everton 1 Arsenal 0 Spurs 0 West Ham 0 Burnley 3 Liverpool 0 Palace 1 Swansea 0 I think we'll beat Everton, Burnley and Palace, but then it's still a question if we can get the needed points away from home. How different this could have been with a win against Watford, a draw against Bmouth and a win yesterday! 5 more points that would have made a world of difference right now!

'We aren't going down at all' The sort of complacent talk that got us in to this mess in the first place No it's called being optimistic Something a certain percentage of posters on here have never heard of. Lambert has had 3 games in charge FFS. Its not going to happen overnight. The bottom of the table is so tight . We've still got to play teams around us and a win against Brighton at home will make everything look a little bit more rosier. We do need an away win, perhaps at Southampton who I'd say is one of the weaker teams down there at the moment. I'm not saying "we'll be fine" but i am 100% confident we aren't going down Still 100% confident ?
