It was Russ Abbott style in the 1st Half, but then we we slowed down 2nd Half ...I thought we were still good, but to no avail. thankfully it was only 90 mins back to home for me.

At the game. The effort and pressing in the first half was excellent. Could have been more than one up against a side that beat Chelsea 3-0 last week. Great performance. Second half just ran out of steam but couldn’t criticise a single player or the manager. Shame we conceded to a badly defended set piece . Otherwise really good signs today and unlucky to lose The problem is it's too late for 'good signs'. A plucky defeat in a game we'd have won on another day would have been OK in December if Hughes had been sacked a couple of months ago when he should. However we're now in early February, deep in a highly competitive relegation battle and we're running out of winnable games. Nearly isn't good enough any more we need wins and we need them now. This isn't Lambert's fault he's joined late in the day with barely half the transfer window to strengthen his squad. But the reality is we haven't got time for steady improvement we need instant improvement and instant results at this stage of the season. We need 6 points from the next two games else our goose is cooked in my opinion.

The players were excellent until spent, the manager was not good at all during the match, pre match his setup was great until 65mins. Hopefully he learned something about how errors and opposing chance creation went up as we had hands on hips walking around with two subs in his pocket.

How can you say we ran out of steam and then not criticise a single player. How can a very experienced bunch be so woefully short of what is required to see out a game of football? We played a high pressing game today and it takes a hell of a lot to keep it up for 90 minutes. We just needed another goal while we were on top But we don't have the players to score it. And that problem should have been addressed.

We need to get more points on the board it's as simple as that unfortunately. Effort and endeavour are a good start but we didn't create enough clear cut chances as far as I'm concerned. Yesterday's result was demotivating and depressing. In theory the team need to get up and get on with it, but theory is all very well.......in reality the last two games represent a loss of 5 points to relegation rivals. Simply not good enough!
