Badou going off didn't help us, but expecting our brand new signing to play 90 minutes and control the midfield was optimistic to say the least. He did really well and looks a good un but our dearth of midfield options means we lose momentum and energy, thus giving the initiative to the opposition. This and not taking off our 37 year old striker and bringing on fresher legs with more pace to give them something new to worry about. We're a Shaqiri injury away from crisis. Does Jese really exist by the way? We're in a crisis and no, Jese is a figment of our imagination! Ambition

I do agree, but here's a stat, we gave spent more time in bottom 3 over the month Lambert has been in charge than during the 4 years under Hughes. Just saying... Brighton is so massive a game it's hard to put into words.

But who can pull the trigger on the board which is where the real problem is. No one can blame Lambert , he's a cheap option in a desperate gamble and I'm sure he'll give what he has. However even he was surprised at getting the job which kind of says it all really. I hope he pulls it off and I hope he gets the backing he really needs in the summer to stop another season of begging for a win. But I have lost any faith in our owners who yet again in this window have said "We don't give a flying f**k about Stoke City or it's fans". The board may still care deeply about the company, but have just run out of fresh ideas. It happens to companies that don’t move with the times.

He’s a PowerPoint lottery winner who won’t get the blame even for his schoolboy level tactics. He’s a great motivator on the sidelines and setup man like Hughes but would you think this guy can save us, or bring Stoke right back from the Championship? I’ve seen what’s to come from his pacing back and forth today hands crossed when we were under the kosh tied at 1-1 and no action. Notice, nobody asked him post match, “why the extremely late subs?” Put a fucking sock in it man. Do I think he could bring us back from the Championship? Yes why not? He did it with Norwich and that was a season after getting them into that division from League one, in fact they never lost two on the trot in the same season but I'm confident we won't go down in the first place.

A more pertinent question for me is: can he do it my lifetime (I’m 62 and not sure I can wait another 20 years).

Absolutely spot on,,I fear Lambert decent bloke that he is , is just a bundle of effort trying to make the best of a terrible mess and will now find out how endemic that mess is , fully expect us to fall away over the coming the weeks .
