School play 1976. My best mate talked me into it, his character had to hit me, I wanted to hit him back but it wasn't in the script. Never again.

when younger did a lot of gang shows in Crewe also amateur productions was on the lyceum stage 100 times always in the background my main parts were counter melodies. was the king (Elvis ) in an amateur production of joseph and varicose singing parts at school all stopped 20+ years ago but enjoyed doing them a few years ago co-wrote a play giving the story line etc.
To anyone who wants to try it go for it either on stage or in the background you'll enjoy it, there's a job/role for everyone you also in Staffordshire have one of the best amateur operatic companies (adult and youth) the north staffs armature operatic society go and see them when I was growing up they were brilliant well worth watching.

I had to play a murder victim on a murder mystery weekend once, which basically entailed lying on a hotel bathroom floor with my eyes closed. A woman came up to me after and asked if I'd had any acting lessons You hardly have to be Robert de Niro to lie still with your eyes shut for 5 minutes Bit of a bonus was the bloke managing the weekend poured us both a couple of large rums just before my murder

Being the tallest in my year at school I got to play a drag queen part in a late 80s school musical, helped by the fact I could sing a bit as well as looking brill in a skirt. Won a competition in late 90s and sang a song with the Blues Brothers in a West End show too. Both my kids sing and dance, and Better than I ever was

The Stoke fans see a pantomime every week, apart from the international break. Someone had to say it. Otherwise, never got involved in panto. I'm one of the poor so and so's, who got the triangle in music lessons, when I wanted the drum. Story of my F'ing life!

The girls have done 2 productions this year. Christmas Carol & Alice in Wonderland. They did V well My only involvement in any kind of play was having to put the chairs out and away for the school concert, and clearing up afterwards. It was punishment for me and my mate for letting stink bombs off in assembly. That and the cane. We also had to stand outside the headmaster’s office for a week facing the wall. I preferred that to listening to the concert which was shite.

Apart from Jonathon Wilkes is the stoke one normally decent "Ay up me ducks, I'm Jonathon Wilkes, Robbies best mate". What a twat. My mum insists on taking us all every year. I'd say it's usually pretty crap but I guess most are once you're past 12. Our lads always seem to enjoy it though. I've said I'm not going this year, miserable git that I am. Can't be doing with another year of 'Vera's 111 today'.

We go as a family night out every year but we go to different cities or towns to watch theirs as I can't stand "Robbie Williams' best mate Johnathan Wilkes". We went to Manchester last year and it was the best Panto I've ever been too. Pat Phelan and Les Dennis from Corrie were the ugly sisters and were superb
