Football rules need to be changed because of games like this, football = game , game = enjoyment , 11 players in penalty area for 90 minutes will never be enjoying. Always enjoy your posts, Doc......but you’re way off the mark with that one I’m afraid.

You're right in that it won't be enjoying. Especially for Liverpool and that's exactly what Swansea are trying to do. Make it the least enjoyable thing for them and their fans. And for that they won, and I'm sure they enjoyed it. Our national team plays with a similar defensive way, I like it because we look more organized and we win better teams than us but at the same time i admit it is unfair, a team trying not to play football for 90 minutes to win against a team trying to play football for 90 minutes means there is a defect. Concerning Swansea, I agree about what you said, but this is what I mean according to the previous reply: "They did their best according to the rules that accept this way of parking the bus, so i cant blame them it was a great game for them, i am talking in general even big teams are parking the bus nowadays, they are destroying the game.
If they dont have the 24 seconds rule in Basket Ball, it would be the most boring sport on the earth.
If me and other football fans around the world are not watching PL, so they cant sell television rights for £5.136bn, so Swansea will depend on stadium tickets ... etc."

Do you want to bet on it? It wouldn't be the first time a club suddenly stalled and went down... It would have to be the stall of all stalls they only need another 2-3 points. 37 pts is still short of the mystical 40pts mark and once you start losing games[as we well know] it becomes a habit.i wouldn't rule them out of the relegation battle just yet

Any way English people invented the football game, so they have the rights to change its rules or not "just kidding".

It's part of the game and it always has been. I think the real problem here is how Klopp has set his team up compared to Carvalhal. There is nothing unfair about it.

Soccer game is not a movie, this is what you mean and i agree. I will be happy if Al-Ahly is playing sh.t but winning against Real Madrid , this is not my problem that I can play sh.t and win.

Any way English people invented the football game, so they have the rights to change its rules or not "just kidding". You are confusing laws of the game (there are no rules) and tactics. The laws define what you can and cannot do. Tactics define how a teams is organized to get the desired result. Very occasionally the laws are changed to improve the spectators’ enjoyment of the game. For example, the goalkeeper used to be able pick up the ball after a back pass: this changed to minimize time wasting. The offside law has been changed a couple of times to increase the number of goals per game as coaches changed tactics and got more players behind the ball. At one time there had to be three players between the player receiving the ball and the goal line: this was reduced to two players and more recently it was changed so that the attacking player was deemed to be onside if he was level with the second defender.

Tactics should fix the problem but it is obvious parking the bus is much easier than attacking against a team parking the bus. "Parking the bus" in football is the same as "negative play" in handball which is banned by the game rules.

Swans Klipp Klopp. At least they didn't throw away their lead like we have done so many times. Mourinho would have been proud of how they did what he did with Chelsea and Manure.

If there are eleven men on the pitch playing within the rules, it’s fiotball. You might not like the tactics and you might find that approach boring, but it’s still football. The game is almost 200 years old and there have been many styles of play and tactical approaches, so clowns like Wenger and Klopp need to pipe down and stop making excuses when they are tactically out-thought, out-manouvered and beaten fair and square.

Of course, they have the right to play however they choose within the laws of the game, just as Swansea do. Just wish they would quit complaining when it doesn’t go the way they had hoped. Klopp should focus on his own team’s inability to win the game and stop maiming about the oppositions succesful tactical approach that earned them the points. If he likes basketball so much, he can go coach a basketball team. As long as he’s in the business of managing a football team, he should grow up and stop talking bollocks.

He knows the rules, he knows they will park the bus, he couldn't deal with that, it was fair for him to lose. If parking the bus was this effective then why aren't Swansea top of the league? Or other teams that decide to park the bus. Klopp has failed many times figuring out how to counter these teams that stop him from playing. This is why he does so well against teams that are willing to attack more against him.

I think this shows us that we can get something from our own home games against sides we would have thrown the towel in a couple of weeks ago. Love to get one over on Spurs when they come down.

I think it's more unfair that foreign owners can put money into a club like it's nothing. Started with United and Chelski and look at City now. £250 million a year only for signings

This result is a game changer. 6 points between 20th and 11th. That’s insane. With our goal difference we could easily be bottom next week. Then again, a couple of wins and we are back in our “rightful place* ” of 9th.
* We are the 25th richest club in the world, after all, according to Deloitte figures released today!

Football rules need to be changed because of games like this, football = game , game = enjoyment , 11 players in penalty area for 90 minutes will never be enjoying. Did you enjoy the first seasons after Stoke's promotion? Sometimes that's what you have to do to get a result against a better team than you. It's on Klopp to figure out a way past it after all it's not the first or even the tenth time hes been stopped in his tracks by that tactic.
