I wouldn't even say Burnley and Everton is out of that, ahem, inverted race...they've both lost their way lately. Everton definitely in it at the moment. Burnley will be fine. Burnley have lost their last two and have only one win in their last six. They've lost their step and if they don't regain it they will be part of the race soon enough. They know a thing or two about relegation battles, including losing them, and having been on the up all season it could be a downer to look downwards now...

Whoever spends the best stays up. That would see Everton sure of staying up, but not even Allardyce is.

Whoever spends the best stays up. Not true at all. It will certainly go a long way to pushing over that line. The boost it gives the players and fans is massive. If we went out and signed 3 key players in the next week, and west brom buy no bugger, who's staying up?

Swansea haven't really found some form though have they, Liverpool have just been shit. They set out for a nil nil and have squeaked a goal from a set piece. They have defended like beavers i'll give you that but they've given the ball back to Liverppol so much in midfield but they've not been good enough to break them down. A few cup games in here but their last 8 games: DLWLDDWW They are picking up points, it’s not the usual form of a team who are bottom of the table, maybe they will be higher after their next 4 games: Arsenal (H), Leicester (A), Burnley (H), Brighton (A) Their last 8 league games are LLDLWLDW. Not terrible of late but not 'really finding form' either. And you really think they're going to get much out of those next four fixtures? Tonight was a fluke, much needed by them, but a fluke all the same. Having seen how Carvahal's got them sorted at the back though he might just keep them up,but it won't be pretty. Not the 'Swansea way' that's for sure.

Silver lining? Maybe Southampton drawing and Swansea winning will concentrate the minds of Stoke bosses to strengthen the squad further and not make any silly sales like Butland, Shaq, Allen, Crouch etc.
With our goal difference we cannot risk finishing equal 3rd from bottom on points.

I feel the last day will have its Aguero moment for one of the 10 sides for sure. We need to be well out of it before that last fortnight.

It’s as much about nerve and character now as anything else.

Football rules need to be changed because of games like this, football = game , game = enjoyment , 11 players in penalty area for 90 minutes will never be enjoying.

Football is a sport, sport is all about winning. Swansea aren't there to give enjoyment to someone in Egypt, they're there to win as many points as possible for themselves, and today they did just that.

Surely it would be called something else than a sudden stall if Burnley lost every single game that is left in the Premier League this season mate?

They did their best according to the rules that accept this way of parking the bus, so i cant blame them it was a great game for them, i am talking in general even big teams are parking the bus nowadays, they are destroying the game. If they dont have the 24 seconds rule in Basket Ball, it would be the most boring sport on the earth. If me and other football fans around the world are not watching PL, so they cant sell television rights for £5.136bn, so Swansea will depend on stadium tickets ... etc.

Complete lack of intelligence from Liverpool. Playing through the middle against a packed defence time and time again. How the bloody hell did Firmino miss that header? It’s why they will not win the league in the near future

You're right in that it won't be enjoying. Especially for Liverpool and that's exactly what Swansea are trying to do. Make it the least enjoyable thing for them and their fans. And for that they won, and I'm sure they enjoyed it.
