So welcome to Stoke-on-Trent Mr Lambert!!! Couldn't have asked for a better start. One week in and we remembered how to be a fluent, creative, sometimes even beautiful but above all, for me, just a COMPETENT football team. More of the same please and bring it on. 10* from me add * if you were there please

8 from me.
Front 3 learning to get close to each other made us look better going forward.
Allen realising he can disciplined.
It will only get better I think.

Brilliant first showing from him. Great to see him kicking every ball from the touch line and getting the lads running their arse's off. This picture sums up today

Can't see any faults in the job he did today with only about a week in charge.

10.
Organized, determined, motivated, and somehow looking a whole lot fitter and faster than we did a week ago. He’s got them doing the basic things well, and while there’s still plenty for him to work on, that’s a fantastic base to build from.

Motivated a side to play with passion and pride, not the tippy tappy dross we've been use to. A clean sheet with opposition side not even looking like they were going to score. Played two full backs and a centre forward at centre forward Shawcross was immense Absolutely delighted 10

Based on updates on here and from elsewhere ... 8 for the first half, ten for the second ... and 12 for the fans. Giving an average score of TEN!

10 Put things right at half time. Clean sheet. Kept playing positively when we went up instead of all the negativity we've had all season when we get a lead.

He looks to have built a rapport with the players already. It was great to see them smiling again. I loved the reaction to our first goal.

Did everything right. Played to the teams strengths. Got rid of the “three-at-the-back-bollox:. Kept it simple. Strong at the back. Pressed the ball. Bang on with subs. He also learned that Cameron is much better than Fletcher as a DM.

We are looking at 4 winnable games on the trot (until we play Man C) and 11 days to prepare for the next game against Watford. Don’t have to play away for two weeks. Things are looking up.
Even I’m tingling a bit!

Not the appointment I, and many of us wanted, but holy fuck if you can’t praise the man for today then you’re a soulless chode.
Goarn Paul.

He hasn't been given time to turn it around like hodgson or Moyes
The board have dithered and dithered and put him in the position of having to get results immediately
Fair play to him
Very impressed

Three things that will the get the crowd on side.
1. The first goal 2. Effort (trying to be the first to every ball) 3. Showing the fans appreciation
Lambert ticked every box today and that reflected onto the players and into their game.
Hughes, by sitting in his box, failed at this miserably.
