Bloody hell didn't even know Wade Elliott had joined the backroom staff when did that happen? He became the U23s assistant manager in April 2017. Then replaced Hodges when Hughes got sacked. He played against us many times for Bournemouth and Burnley didn't he? I always thought he was a walking penalty waiting to happen!

He's our best prospect - actually our only one- but if you want to ruin his career put him in a relegation team and kill his confidence. What a load of twaddle. Says the man who wants to get rid of Joe Allen.

Says the man who wants to get rid of Joe Allen. Because our midfield is gash and he's a massive part of that.

Get him on the bench ahead of Berahino please He should be on the bench ahead of crouch. Dont agree , similar player in style to Berahino apart from he seems to actually score . Crouch is useful as an option if we are chasing a goal or for a different approach and again he still scores a few goals

Crouch is useful as an option if we are chasing a goal or for a different approach and again he still scores a few goals Is Crouch that useful though? In the last 2 years he's been on the pitch in 70% of games where a goal would have got us either a point or a win. He nor anyone else has scored.

The club's Facebook page today has been Tyrese Campbell, Tyrese Campbell, Tyrese Campbell... It's definitely seeming like a positive PR campaign so it really wouldn't surprise me to see him involved on Saturday.

I heard that if he plays in the first team before a certain point then the club are obliged to pay Man City a substantial amount of cash. From an employee of the club so i'm sure this is fairly accurate and makes sense.

I reckon our multi-billionaire owners can afford it.

He may play 5 games and we decide he's nowhere near ready. It wouldn't be disimlar to what we did with N'Goy

Also if he can't get a game when we have strikers not scoring we run the risk of him getting fed up and going elsewhere

Radio StokeInterview with him here with Matt Sandoz, about 25 mins in. Says all the right things. Seems confident, but pretty grounded.

Don't think it's been officially announced as the move was initially shrouded in mystery? The info on transfermarkt is obviously wrong though - there's no way we've paid that kind of fee for 12 months. At least another 2 years you'd think?

Something about him I think he needs first team minutes tbh. Fuck off Bera get someone in who is earning their keep.

His form has probably come at the wrong time for us. If we start throwing in the U23 players at this point of the season, we deserve everything we get. No, he is not better than Berahino, btw.

His form has probably come at the wrong time for us. If we start throwing in the U23 players at this point of the season, we deserve everything we get. N o, he is not better than Berahino, btw. With all due respect you have no idea whether that statement is true or not. Nor do any of us. Campbell is certainly not (yet) as good as Berahino was at his peak - the Berahino who once scored 4 goals in a cup match. But Berahino's peak was so long ago that it can't be used as any measure of how good he is now. He may recover that form - then again he may not. Campbell is certainly not the complete striker - yet. I'm sure neither he nor his dad would claim that he is. he clearly has a lot to learn. But his current form (say, over the past 12 months) is excellent and no one can say that, if given a chance in the first team, he might not do better than Berahino has over the past 12 months, where his contribution has amounted to one assist and no goals.

He can't do worse. If Berahino was the complete striker he would be playing every week. We don't really know what is going on, but Berahino has obviously not convinced his last three managers that he should be starting.
