It's clear Berahino offers absolutely nothing to the the matchday squad. I know its a huge step up but Campbell will be high on confidence and surely busting a gut to impress I will be very disappointed with Lambert if he doesn't get on the bench before Saido this weekend.

It shouldn't matter how old he is. If he's good enough, he's old enough. How old was Rooney when he scored his first PL goal? 16?. Rashford? 18? Will he turn out to be as good? Who knows? But unless we give him a chance, we'll never fucking know. We are in a situation where we need something or someone new to keep our PL status alive and maybe, just maybe, Cambell is that someone. And if he isn't Lambert will get slaughtered instead of using Diouf for example who we know can, on occasion, can score some goals, I don't mind seeing him on the bench mind and giving him a few mins but to hang all our hopes on him seems a bit much.

Slaughtered by who ? Most stoke fans would love to see us promoting the youth players, especially those scoring week in week out. It’s win win for Lambert - if Campbell plays well, he’s a genius, if he doesn’t, ahh well, worth a try

Well we've got fuckall else to hang our hopes on. Our strike force is fucking dire.

The obsession with strikers this season has helped take our eye off the other end, it is right now at least. We are scoring a normal amount of goals in games, we don't have any stand out goalscorer but collectively its all good. Relax.
Sort the defending out and we stay up.

From what I've seen of Campbell, he seems to be one of those players who does little in general play but comes alive when the ball is in or around the penalty area, the problem is we don't really create a lot of chances, on Saturday for example, after the 1st 20 minutes we could have had Messi up front and we wouldn't have scored

It's a slightly simplistic view point to be fair. Some of our defensive frailties are down to the fact that our forward line repeatedly gives up possession of the ball, sometimes in dangerous positions. It's all the more frustrating given we are capable of scoring goals.

Got to be worth a place on the bench soon surely ? Dunno what his contract situation is but you can be sure that other teams will have been monitoring his progress and it would be typical Stoke to lose him before we have even given him a try at first team level.

He's our best prospect - actually our only one- but if you want to ruin his career put him in a relegation team and kill his confidence.

I'd start with Mame on saturday, but no issue whatsoever with giving this lad some time off the bench.

Both Ty and Jese should be on the bench on Saturday - we have to have some different options to try up front.
