Today seems a lot brighter than things did on Sunday. Definitely. I was highly underwhelmed when I heard, but he has definitely won me over. That was the best press conference from a Stoke manager in 4 years, he made eye contact, listened carefully to the questions, gave good answers (no cliches or bullshit) and no “clearly”, “obviously”, “on the day”, blah, blah, blah... I am back for the BHA, Everton, and Man City games - Conner wait. PS: did Hughes run off with the floor microphone, or did someone shove it where the sun doesn’t shine?

So pleased! Well done lads btw, so many posters getting behind the manager and expressing positive vibes, you all have brightened my day Cmon City! We don't have a choice Dunc. Whether we wanted him or not he's here and there is only one way out of this. 100% support for him and the lads from now until the end of the season. If we do that as supporters then we cannot do any more. After listening to his press conference I can't wait for Saturday.

I was fuming when Lambert was appointed, but fuck that, it's in the past now. He came across well in that interview and if he can get the players putting a shift in we'll be half way there. Goarrrrrrnnnnnn Paul! Don't like changing the manager mid season but we were being relegated under Hughes for sure Lambert spoke well. A refreshing change from some of the absolute drivel we've seen and heard over the last 18 months! Suspect he'll be far more 'hands on' than Hughes ever was and we'll see far more involvement and passion from him If that carries on into the dressing room and onto the pitch we may, just may stay up

I've just watched the press conference right through, and I have to admit that I'm much more optimistic about PL's appointment than I was a day or so ago. He certainly didn't appear to be simply 'making the right noises' when he spoke, but seemed to be really genuine in saying he was privileged to be here, and he'd give it his all to keep us up
Reading between the lines, I sense that there may be a bit of a 'war chest' for him to improve the squad this window, which will hopefully assist him in avoiding the drop.
I just want to say, he has my full support, for what it's worth
Welcome PL - best of luck to you (and US!!!!)

I’ll get crucified for this, but I’m maintaining getting all excited until I see what transpires on the pitch.
Anyone can say the right things in a press conference, that’s not enough for me, I need to see those words in action, because I’m still far from thrilled with his appointment.

Can't see why anyone would crucify you. It's on the pitch that matters.
