Not in Till Thursday WTF, they ought to be up and down Hanchurch hills for 2 days, they are all completely UNFIT apart from Bauer, and he hasn’t played for a month Yes, it was incredible that Bauer and Ireland looked like our fittest players!

What the hell have our players been doing in training ? another indication of just how shoddy our outgoing management really was.

No doubt that he desperatley wants the job and that he will do everything he can to succeed.
Every single Stokie should be 100% behind lambert and the team.
No excuses.

He spoke very well, welcome to Stoke Mr Lambert, we’ll be with you. Some won't! Long term of course not, the fan base is always split, here especially, but I think he deserves nothing less than the full support for the next 15 games

He didn't appoint himself.
I like the fact that he's grateful to be here.
He's got lots of points to prove.
Fingers crossed.

He won me over by saying two things.
"I want us to play at a high tempo and on the front foot"
And
"We need to be more aggressive"
Came across well 👍

John Coates looks like the guy from the film “Ghost” who used to shout “Get off my train!” They look like attendees at an undertakers convention.

Best bit for me was "We need to give the crowd something, whether that's a tackle, a header or a great piece of skill". We need to help the team but the team need to help us. Get that, and we'll be just fine. He referred to the crowd repeatedly. Managing our crowd is important. Macari did it best. Maybe a fellow Celtic man has the same understanding.

BBC Radio Stoke just after 6pm tonight. Yesterday someone (I can't remember if it was Eddie N.) said Lambert would be taking training this afternoon, but for the players involved last night, it'd mostly be recovery work. Stoke City+ said they'd have cameras at today's training session too. Yeah that's right. The lads who played yesterday just had a recovery session today. Think the rest had a normal training session. Day off tomorrow. Full squad training on Thursday and Friday. No different to what happened under Hughes. That’s NOT what we are looking for. From now we only need to see assholes and elbows.

Good to see him looking so relaxed and well compared to the hollow, grey figure he cut toward the end of his time at Villa.
He really needs us to be at our best as much as we need him to put life back into the team.
We can do this...

Relaxed, confident in his own and players ability and no nonsense.
I like him. We'll be fine.

Talks a great game ...
We need to be more aggressive and close people down quicker off the ball
There is no point the crowd starting off behind us , if we then go out and play without tempo and intensity
Nailed it ...but can he make it happen ? ... if he can that should have a big positive impact :-)

What a breath of fresh air that was. In one interview he's managed to make me forget the 18 months of repetitive and negative excuses Hughes spoon fed us. Let's hope his positivity and the fans support spills onto the pitch. PAUL LAMBERTS RED AND WHITE ARMY

Said on another thread that perhaps he can bring some Macariesque Magic into the situation. The singing last night was a start. I predicted his appointment and also believe that he's the right man for the job at this moment in time. Love a dour Scots manager.😁 That Spanish wazzak was way too sexy for Stoke.

I was desperately unhappy, disappointed and underwhelmed by Lambert coming in, but he's saying the right things, couple that with an improved performance and the absolutely tremendous away support I think we have a decent chance of staying up. I'll get fully behind the team and manager and hopefully a win against Klopp lite will see us move up the table.
