I did like his comments about not being bothered if he was 15th choice .... to me that spoke volumes, and I'll be certainly backing him at the next game

Where is it? recorded sky... not on Cant see on sc website BBC Radio Stoke just after 6pm tonight. If that’s the case seems like 2 days wasted to me . Unless he talking to potential signings (here’s hoping ) Yesterday someone (I can't remember if it was Eddie N.) said Lambert would be taking training this afternoon, but for the players involved last night, it'd mostly be recovery work. Stoke City+ said they'd have cameras at today's training session too. Yeah that's right. The lads who played yesterday just had a recovery session today. Think the rest had a normal training session. Day off tomorrow. Full squad training on Thursday and Friday. No different to what happened under Hughes.

I honestly hope he proves us all wrong and it will be nice to see something different at least. He won't prove me wrong, because I believe he can do the job.

Best press conference by a Stoke manager in, perhaps, decades.
I'm sure this will turn out to have been an inspired appointment.

Best bit for me was "We need to give the crowd something, whether that's a tackle, a header or a great piece of skill".
We need to help the team but the team need to help us. Get that, and we'll be just fine.

I’ve had my moan. Yesterday I was raging and ready to jump into the Trent with bricks in my pocket. I’ve had a day, I saw us last night, I’ve just seen his presser and I’m fucking up for it now, he said more or less everything I wanted to hear from him and I’m 100% behind him. I have no doubt we’ll win on Saturday and the atmosphere will be electric. Come on Stoke!

You know what at the end of the day we are a dog's home by trade and that extends to managers he must be ecstatic at someone giving him a lifeline after being in the manager wilderness and if he has ANY ambitions for his career then he'll do us proud

Really impressed by his comments earlier and a decent performance yestrday.
It’s kind of feeling like our backs are against the wall and we want to come out fighting, like there’s a siege mentality like everyone’s against us and laughing at us and we’ve got a point to prove.
This is why
1- a wins massive on Saturday. 2- the board back the manager financially.
If we do both I fancy us to get out of this mess.

Strongly suspect Paul Lambert is one of them.

I think this may work out to be a good appointment if he is properly backed.

Yeah I am hoping exactly the same thing bud (I have said the same yesterday). If The club does not back him now then they have just panicked and thought ahh well his 2.5 year contract hasnt cost us as much as Espanyols compo would have cost. I hope that isnt the case.

I was very impressed by his statement:
"I never thought I would get the chance to come back in to a place like this. The way things have been going. I’m honoured and privileged to be here and can’t wait to get started."
Shows humility, gratitude and ambition.
He is clearly motivated to demonstrate that he can mange successfully at Premier League level and for the first time at Stoke he will have the proper resources to deliver.
For those who think Stoke don't invest enough in players, we have one of the highest wage bills outside the top big 6 clubs and have spend huge amounts of money on Shaqiri, Allen, Berahino, Wimmer, Imbula, etc.

Go on Paul !!
Flowery Flores would have been too busy worrying about whether his jumper and scarf combo would be warm enough in January in Staffordshire and if there was anywhere semi-decent for Senorita Flores to live at least an hour from Stoke.
This may or may not work out but if it doesn't it won't be for lack of hard work.

Don't get too carried away with how he presents himself at a press conference ffs. Also last night had absolutely nothing to do with him but with Eddie N who is now likely to be fired
