Interesting post rationalisation , alas it fails to cover 1 who identified him in the first place 2 what diligence took place 3 why was this only an issue at the eleventh hour no one will ever know if it was a good thing or not , but one thing for sure we handled it badly as we so often do In your opinion. Disclaimer: BB’s opinion is based on innuendo, hearsay, and an overactive imagination. Acceptance of these views may be hazardous to your mental health. . IMO of course.

Neither here nor there - we should have acceded to close out the deal - it would have been 4m less anyhow - so shortsighted. We were chasing him ffs - now we're back to Jurassic Park There’s no guarantee QSF would have kept us up. Once the club got involved trying to hold us to ransom, I’d have done the exact same thing. Either there is a 4 million buy out clause or there isn’t. QSF do you want the job regardless of what espanyol day? Yes, c’mon-no, next please. How about before we label Lambert “Jurassic “, we give him a chance? I was more referring to MoN with that comment TBH but whilst I have always expressed a preference for an overseas manager Lambert is far more preferable (to me) than Allardyce, Hodgson, Pardew et al - and you are right that QSF may not have kept us up - just a shame we'll never know. Water under the bridge now - Lambert will have my full support of course.......

Yeah it makes no sense if there was a £4M release clause why would we agree to sign a player for 20M? Unless it was QSF who wanted to bring a couple of players with him.
