Nope. I'm ready to throw myself off a bridge at the news but what's the point protesting. Complain and whine as much as you like to yourself or on here, i know i will be. But at the end of the day I'll just want us to win, however much i despise what the board has done. I'll be buoyed for Saturday because its something different to Hughes. Excitement of not knowing for once if we're going to be shite or not. This. I have been pissed off all day after hearing the news. I've got in and spent that last half an hour going through this MB. I am still totally pissed off, but I'll save that for on here and do some supporting at the match.

Don't want him, unimpressed by the appointment. Had my moan at work but now has my support.
Hope he keeps us up, and see what he can do with a full pre-season behind him.
Good luck Paul.

Are the Protest begin considered now. Sky are at Stoke ground today. Stoke fans get down and speak out. Lambert stats are not good since he left Norwich. We need fans then to protest away from game and at the training ground. Two and half year deal Got a few bites here bub. You seem like a real ideas man/woman. Weren't you the prick encouraging folk to phone the Royal Oak in Dilhorne in the wee small hours of this morning to see if 'Arry was in? And then this. Obviously a wind up, if not then, just out of interest, instead of telling 'Stoke fans' what they should be doing, what are you going to do?

I’ve been informed by a source in the professional game he knows of at least a handful of managers who have said they would never manage Stoke because of the way we’ve been perceived to ‘unfairly’ turn on Pulis and Hughes. Starting to kick off at either board or new manager when we’re actually needed to show some support is hardly going to kill the image we have nationally of being completely ungrateful inbreds is it? Utter bollocks... Watford are more unfair on managers than us.

Two and half year deal Instead of protesting at the ground, why not sell your season ticket, or give it to someone who will be sticking with our players and new manager for the remainder of the season And then don't renew Best way of letting the board know your feelings without causing more damage to the squad Or do you want us to go down?

Hahaha, fucking bullshit. I’m sure a club that has only sacked two managers in 20 years and has money, in no way appeals to any manager, just because we sacked pulis and Hughes. If you’re going to make shit up and then pass it off as fact from a “source in the professional game” at least make it sound plausible.

PA THE TIC
Paul Lambert is our manager now, like it or not, and as fans we MUST support him in turning this club round.
If we don't we've signed our own death warrant and will deserve what's coming to us.
I thought we were proper fans, not entitled tantrum throwing sulky stropheads like Arse fans and certain others.
I don't remember starting to support a club like that way back when I was 14, please don't tell me I misjudged us all those years ago.
I get that some people don't like Paul Lambert - I'm not one of them - but it's VITAL we all put our personal feelings aside and get behind him and his team.
If we don't we're doomed and we'll deserve it.

i wouldn't go as far as protesting but i am reasonably downbeat and pissed off about this, it just feels like the actions of a club on a massive downward spiral, i've nothing against Lambert personally but he does not deserve this job, he's got it basically because of our ineptness and, in all likelihood, Coates' tightening of the purse strings in pursuit of his "self sufficiency" goals.

I’m as peed off as most about the laughing stock my club has become after the events of the last few days. I work with Mancs and Scousers and my phone has been non stop with texts taking the piss. However having been a fan since 1968 has seen me witness many highs and lows ( more lows than highs) but come what may I will still get behind my team who ever takes the field in my beloved red and white stripes. So the question is will you or are you another snowflake.

Horseshit. Our reaction to Pulis was no different to fans of nearly every other club he managed, and Hughes was given plenty of credit in the bank before the majority turned. Fans of other clubs were staggered that he wasn't under more pressure until the last few weeks. You’ve summed it up with the word ‘fans’ to be honest. I’m talking about managers/coaches and the impression a small set have had. Don’t forget there wasn’t any major protest against Hughes, but Sky Sports showed it in a way that it appeared to be a big deal, and when Pulis lost the home games against Villa and West Ham in his last year the written press made it sound like we were protesting much worse than we were. You only really have to look at how the one manager who’s as ‘famous’ , for want of a better word, as you’d expect clubs as big as Villa or Newcastle to have, has spent as much time trying to deflect all blame at the owner as he possibly can. And let’s be honest, other than a rare season or two, they haven’t been that bad. A few ‘Pardew Out’ bed sheets being displayed at a match is hardly the worst thing that can happen in the world. Take what I’m saying with a pinch of salt if you want, but just don’t think that the reality of a situation actually means that people from the outside of it see it that way. If we start going all Villa fan style on McCleish, we’re certainly going to be made to look as bad as possible in the media. There aren’t really aren’t any other clubs in the league who’s fans are currently kicking off as much:

Utter bollocks... Watford are more unfair on managers than us. That’s the club though, not the supporters. The worst a club will do is remove a manager and give him a pay off. Any manager who gets let go at Watford will only really get thought of as a victim to a club that sacks everybody. The fans on the other hand can make you look really bad on television, in the press etc. For people with one of the more extreme example of a ‘portfolio career’ one of the last things you want is for potential future employers to see you bring bad publicity to a club. Again, I’m not saying our reputation is fair, but it is definitely one that a decent number of people believe in.
