If he stays in football and gets a job managing another team and said team rock up at the Bet365 what sort of reception would he expect. Personally I'd like to think he would be warmly welcomed, then sent packing having suffered a heavy defeat, or would he be roundly booed like Toxic Tony is. Having said that TT bought it on himself by slagging off our club, 1st time he turned up he was greeted quite well, TILL HE BEAT US... I think Les and Tony are 2 totally different characters, and I am quite sure Les will not be slating us one iota

I'll applaud him for sure!!!
I always wanted him to turn it around, but when it became apparent that he wasn't gonna do it for some reason or other that's when, and only when, that I wanted him replaced!!!
He's gone, and I wish him all the best!!! đź‘Ť

I think there is a high chance he will come back as a Premier League manager, he is still only 54 and his stock is still high, I'm much less sure we will be in the Premier League to greet him though.

Do you think he’ll get another top flight job, or are you thinking we might meet him at a Championship side?

His stock is still high Trying to wrap my head round that one I nearly added a 'relatively' and for sure it's not in the Potteries but I don't sense he is quite deemed 'clown pants' nationally yet. We'll see I suppose but many folks on here said Pulis wouldn't get another job outside of League 2 after we helped him through the exit door but be got not 1 but 2 more Prem jobs. I'm sure Sparky's CV will point to a dozen decent finishes with mid ranking Prem teams and conveniently not include his 2 'incomplete' seasons being the QPR debacle and this one. I just fancy if he wants to come back there will be a berth for him somewhere, but I may be wrong!

I wonder if the people in the 'thank you Mark' thread will be throwing roses and lillies at his feet like the Pulis rimmers?

Think it will be indifferent. He did a good job at first then did a shit job, plus there have been lots of sly digs at the fans that will be remembered.

If he’d have gone at the start of the season, he’d have got a good reception on his return, however presiding over this utter shit show this season means I suspect it’ll be a less than warm welcome if he returns with another club.

Anyone who does anything other than give him a warm or indifferent reception is shameful, in my opinion. Slating him and his decisions that are costing us points whilst he’s our manager is semi acceptable (I was guilty of that), but there’s no reason at all to slate him now. Quality first two years here, quite a likeable bloke that started going a bit insane under pressure and ultimately he did his best. It wasn’t like he shat on us in any way. It just didn’t work.

Every game after that just felt like another kick in the stomach. I will absolutely applaud him though.

Respect goes both ways A lot will depend on any comments he makes regarding his departure and the club overall. What comments he makes will be defined by how much he has been payed to keep his gob shut and nothing to do with respect. I would certainly not lose any additional respect for him if he lifted the lid on what the fuck has been going on at our club to land us in this situation but money talks so I don’t expect any revelations.

I still like the fella. At the end of the day he always talked the club up and got us on the map with some big name signings.
He has clearly been found wanting tactically and motivational wise. BUT he brought in some star names we could only dream about.
Our next manager I doubt will have the same pulling power for foreign based stars with connections to Barcelona and other major European clubs
