This literally sums me up. As recently as a few weeks ago, I was backing Mark to turn it around, but West Ham was the turning point for me. Every game after that just felt like another kick in the stomach. I will absolutely applaud him though. Madness What is?

I think applauded. Anyone who boos him wants their head looking at.
No doubt we will have a few morons booing him, the ones that think it makes them look cool and hard to abuse someone...but nobody cares about that sort anyway

He tried , he failed but at least he tried.
I still like him and wish he had succeeded but recognise it was time to go.
Warm welcome from me

I will applaud him definitely. I like Mark Hughes and wanted him to turn things around. I remember the good times 3 nine placed finishes The 6 1 thrashing of Liverppol. Good luck to Mark and i wish him all the best for the future

I would give him a very warm reception.
Just because it ended badly doesn't mean we hate the guy and we did have success under him.

Why would any Stoke fan not give him a warm welcome on his return?
He did a really good job for 2 and a half years of his reign and was an absolute breath of fresh air after Pulisball had gone really stale.
The only people that won't applaud him are the ones who hero worshipped Pulis and wouldn't have got behind any manager just because their hero got sacked.

I'll definitely applaud him. Just hope he doesn't say anything daft in the pre match press conference and cause me to use both barrels.

He did his best but he wasnt good enough, he should be welcome to return and it will be an easy game for Stoke.

Polite clap is appropriate.
He made a massive difference in the first two years.
I thought the third year 9th place finish was lucky, the last day went our way. Since then it’s been a gradual decline with the occasional highlight.
It’s a shame it’s gone toxic but that’s the fault of the owners failure to address matters in the summer.

After a 38 game season you finish where you deserve to finish. The only result that went in our favour on the last day of 2015/16 was Chelsea drawing with the Champions Leicester. It might have escaped your notice, but we also took 4 points from Chelsea that season to give us the one point edge we had over them. Besides which, we also lost Butland and Shawcross to serious injury and had to play the last seven games with either Haugaard or Given in goal. I really wouldn't call that lucky!

And I thought we were one of the lowest spenders in the league while he was here, must be mistaken 😂
