Not sure if this belongs in this forum or "everything else" but lots of us know Kay on the Oatcake Boat really well from matchdays so I figure people will want to know. There was an accident at Etruria earlier today while they were trying to remove some wire from around the propeller. They ended up taking on 3 feet of water in the front section of the boat and very nearly sinking it, from what I hear. Some of Kay's friends are rallying around and trying to be helpful and a fundraising page has been set up to try to raise £200 to sort some of the immediate needs www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/caz-collinsAdmin feel free to move (or pin) this as you see fit.

She's not asked for this, in fact unless she's on here she won't know about it as far as I'm aware. Just friends in the boating community trying to help someone out of a crap situation.

Whilst paying for fuel, and ingredients. What a plum Apparently yes. They provide a product and a service which I can say has been second to none. After this accident the owner of the boat (and associated tiny "home grown" business) now has serious problems. Her friends have done something to try and help her out. This is now being construed as a "take take take" attitude.

There are some real creeps on here. They're all a bit err...unique in Bedworth Have you met the Bulkington residents yet? Or is Bulkington considered the posh end of Beduth? Hate to generalise but Beduth and Bulkington do have a bit of a rep which they struggle to shake off.

Kay and he husband are great people and provide a great service. Value for money compared to prices in the Brit on matchdays. I want to wish them the best in being able to sort this mess out and getting back on the canal selling their oatcakes and lobby. The Boatcake won this year's Sentinel BEST OATCAKE SHOP award too, which shows what high standards they have set. Pity that some people can appear so heartless, but I'm sure all decent people would want to wish them all the best.

As if news can't get any worse. I will force everyone to buy a belly-busting 4 filled oatcakes. Or you will have to endure a full 10 minutes of a HughesOut interview.

Surely they purchase adequate insurance cover to protect against this type of situstion.
Why is crowdfunding required?

Surely they purchase adequate insurance cover to protect against this type of situstion. Why is crowdfunding required? Mmm I seem to remember a roof blowing off a stand. Now let me think. Oh yes, I remember. It was some time ago, but was the Butler St stand connected? We sold the team to pay for it. Surely the club had purchased adequate insurance cover to protect against that type of situation.

There are quite a few in Beduth thinking "now how can I get mesen a quick £200" They don't sink boats and livelihoods to do it though. They tend to hang round cash machines looking sorry for themselves.
