Anybody know of any away pubs near the ground and best place for parking? The Greyhound Inn is a decent boozer, the foods good and as long as it's not pissing it down and you're wrapped up warm there's a massive seating area outside next to the canal. The Old Crown as well is good for food although gets rammed in there as it's not as big. Both are slightly further to walk to the stadium but far better then the ones close by to The Ricoh.... Got the mrs driving to this one so gonna park up at the ground how far walk to ricoh is it?

How far is far ? Probably the equivalent of parking in Stoke and walking to the Bet365. It's a canal walk as well so maybe not great if it's being pissing it down for days.....

I've been to every home game this season and six away games including Man City & Spurs. I'll be at the Ricoh on Saturday. Most Stoke fans will be singing Time to Go should we lose because we care about the club and we want change. Do you not understand that? Doing nothing when you're in the shit means you couldn't care less. Rubbish. Nobody knows for certain whether changing the manager or sticking with Hughes will keep us up. Both options are a gamble. Anyone baying for Hughes's blood assumes they know for certain that changing the manager is a better option than sticking. The fact is no-one knows the outcome. However it is a cast iron certainty that booing Hughes will demotivate the team. Hughes won't take the team down. The "fans" who think they know best will. "Hughes won't take the team down. The "fans" who think they know best will." I don't know how you've got the nerve to call the previous post rubbish when you come up with that load of absolute bollocks.

It's a 30 minute walk along the Canal from the Greyhound to the Ricoh You'll pass the Longford Engine half way along the walk which is also ok but will be busier

Decent walk if the weathers ok and parking not too bad..... where do you park ive only seen parking at the actual ricoh arena Decent amount of parking down Sutton Stop lane which is a dead end road off Grange Road leading to the Greyhound (Postcode CV6 6DF www.greyhoundinn.org ). Never been there on a match day so don't know how busy it gets but can't imagine it normally gets that busy as it's a long way from the ground. Longford Engine (postcode CV6 6BP www.thelongfordengine.co.uk ) has a car park and plenty of street parking round there too, again not been on a match day but think it's far enough away from the stadium to be out of any permit/resident only parking zone. Anybody into their Micro Brews then Byatts Brewery have a on-site pub, go past the Ricoh and follow the road to the City Centre for about half a mile (CV6 6FL www.byattsbrewery.co.uk/bar/ ) which has some parking around it but probably need to get there early.

What about 'You're wank, and you know you are' directed at kevin wimmer? For his comments at spurs away, not giving a fuck about the supporters and also his effortless performances week in week out. Absolute oxygen thief. you really are a plum I'll never support Kevin Wimmer again. He's an thick, overpaid, waste of spunk. Giving up on 55 minutes after i'd spent £200 on a weekend in london to watch stoke? Yeah he can kiss my arse.

No it isn't. I remember watching the scenes at Newcastle the season before last and Sunderland last season when their so called "amazing" fans created a toxic atmosphere which clearly got to the players. Those "amazing" fans did as much as anyone to see their teams demoted. In contrast three seasons ago the Leicester fans got behind their team, despite looking dead and buried and with a complete lunatic in charge (who incidentally they stuck by despite some pretty strange behaviour). Their fans made a major contribution to keeping them up. You and a few others on here think you know what is best for the club and are quite prepared to encourage a toxic atmosphere at the ground in order to get what you want - I recall one of your posts where you were relishing the prospect of an "awesome" anti-Hughes protest. Fortunately the vast majority of fans took no notice and the atmosphere was fine. You are behaving like one of those blokes who starts a fight in a pub and when it finally kicks off are nowhere to be seen, You are utterly convinced of your own opinion and will do whatever you can to see Hughes sacked - even if it means creating a toxic atmosphere, demotivating the players and dropping vital points. And it is quite clear from your reaction to my first post that you are in complete denial of the impact of your behaviour. You have all the knowledge and absolutely no sense of personal responsibility for your actions. You are one of those "amazing" fans who will see the team get demoted. For the record I lost patience with Hughes over the Xmas period and if it was my decision I would make a change. However the club has decided to stick with Hughes and I'm going to get behind the owners, the manager and the team through what is going to be its toughest time since promotion. You and your "amazing" fellow travellers can continue to bring the team down if you want. My small, insignificant contribution is going to be to get behind the team regardless of my own personal, insignificant views on the situation.

The only thing taking us down is how bad we are at football and weak leadership from the board. And fans have been a problem. But passive ones like you who allowed this two year rot to happen. But that's fine, you thought we'd come out of it. You don't pay yourself millions to spot these things. The board at this moment in time should be ashamed.

Dunner let stuff on here sway you, Jug Bank - get down to Coventry and enjoy yourself. I'm coming down from Leeds tomorrow - yes, I know we are shite in the league at present, with plenty to be worried about, and there is always the chance you might find yourself stood next to a knob - but these early FA cup ties are always one of the highlights of my season. A crisp sunny winter's day forecast tomorrow, a decent sized away following, a chance to re-acquaint myself with Coventry and the opportunity to see my old mum and dad in Stafford too - what's not to like? If you see a 50-something Stoke supporter with the long, flaxen hair of an angel in one of the pubs tomorrow, give me a shout and I'll even buy you a drink

Let's see what happens if people start with 'Hughes out' from the off. They could end up getting more than they bargained for. People should only attend to support Stoke, not with hidden agendas. We're there to support the team. Whatever happens at the final whistle is a different matter.

I always think such claims would have more impact if chanted after a win but it rarely happens. If Hughes is in charge and we go to manure and win, Hughes out chants would probably have much more impact as evidence that people are sick of him no matter what. Me? I'll be supporting the team with my boys and won't chant for his head win lose or draw.

I'm going to Warrington Town and sing anti Ukyestony songs and songs about filling in corners and Stoke-on-Trent being the best place with the best people in the world.
