I cannot believe that Coates won't finally do the right thing. We have the worst defensive record in the top 5 European leagues!! There is still time to rescue the situation but not with Hughes in charge. He has lost confidence of fans and it would seem the players too! Our best squad since we entered the Premiership. I am fed up with the talk of who will come in if we sack Hughes!! Let's be bold and go for Dyche, Rogers or O'Neill or Mancini (assuming he would come. We need a manager who can organise us and make us hard to beat again and who will instil discipline into the side. I have never felt so anxious about our future as we are in real danger of going down! We are Stoke, loud and proud. Come on Coates and co.show us you have balls!!

I said before Christmas it would be this week or not at all. Giving him NUFC and Huddersfield was fair. Coventry we may be managerless, probably opting for Charlie or Youth coach. Man U is the perfect bonus match for the new manager from the stand.

I'd go as far as to say that after today it's Probably the first time Coates has given it any real thought. Yes. I would agree with that. If there is any decisions don't think it will be until end of week. With Charlie in charge at Coventry. Then Martin O'Neil unveiled next week. That’s a nice dream...

Dean Smith would be a helllllllllllllll of a leap into the dark though.
Can't see him being a runner in a relegation scrap.
Think he's one you'd maybe take a punt at in the summer.
Maybe a different type of appointment needed at a time like this

Actually Charlie Adam has shown he’s serious about rolling up his sleeves and also leads by example on the pitch.
Maybe he holds the fort until...
Giggs?

He turned down Swansea because he thinks he deserves a bigger club based on the fact he had 4 United games as manger. Gutless, spineless, arrogant prat of a bloke.

I suspect Giggs hasn’t taken a manager job yet because he realises he’s not up to it.

Dean Smith highly rated Bees Manager. Dean Smith is not the only reason Brentford are doing well with a limited budget. Smith is in charge of playing only not recruitment or recruitment policy or indeed all aspects of coaching*. It is their recruitment that's allowing them to punch above their weight. By all means give him a go but we have to bring in their two directors of football and coaching/recruitment set up too. This explains how they work. * one of the reasons why Warburton left them

He really does need to start lower down the leagues if at some point he does think he wants a crack at the management lark. Gary Neville is a good example of to big a job just starting out.

Yes, I think it'll be one from the following Strachan Pearson O'Neill Would you take someone like O'Neill until the end of the season? Someone to inject some new energy in the team before a long term appointment is made in the summer? Yes I'd take Martin o'neill with Roy Keane. I think we would at least see some organisation and a better drilled defence. Personally, I think we should be looking at Bilic or Jokanovic. But I don't think that will appeal to Coates

Imagine what he would do to Shaqiri after him pulling up for that ball.
