What can we do to make the club aware that we can't carry on like this?
I saw someone suggest that we protest with our feet and don't turn up on Monday, but this is out of the question. We know very well that any anti-Hughes banners are confiscated at the ground, so what can be the solution?
An open letter in local paper? An organised barrage of social media? A sign on a van in the car park?

Wait for the chairman to park up on Monday and hand him a letter voicing your concerns, Hughes will be here to the end of the seasoneven if the team play the remaining games to an empty stadium, we have to accept that and support the team to get to that 40 point Mark a.s.a.p.

If we don't beat the Jardies on Monday there needs to be loud, virulent, direct action. As close to a riot and public disorder as it gets without actually doing anything criminal.
It's the only way the old coot will understand the insufferable, pent up anger and sheer frustration.
Make it loud. Make it nasty. Make them understand.
We've done it before.

It’s pointless, the club clearly think there is nothing wrong.

As posted elsewhere. I honestly agree that the fans need to make some kind of statement, whether that’s not going to the game I don’t know. We are the only voice that can force a decision to be made. I feel empty that it has to come to this, it shouldn’t take the fans making a stand for it to be seen. The only problem is, it’s as clear as day that Coates and co cannot recognise the magnitude of the problem at our football club. We need our football club back, ive been going to stoke for 15+ years (since I’ve been old enough to go) and I can’t remember a bigger disconnect between the club and the fans. I can’t remember ever feeling this uninterested, ever. That includes being in the lower leagues and when Pulis was in charge. We have lost our siege mentality and our relentless identity. Teams used to celebrate like they’d won the league when they beat us, top 4 included, it was held in high regard to come to he Brit and win and even to beat us convincingly away from home. We used to be firm but fair, hard as nails with a die hard mentality and never go down without a fight. Now we just roll over, teams are upset if they don’t put more than 2 past us. We’re a circus and we’re heading towards obscurity, we’re going to end up a nothing club, like Charlton. Go down to never be seen again. People need to see that Coates IS the problem - Hughes is just his puppet

After THAT 0-7 defeat at home in 1997,supporters at the next game (Bradford) didn’t take up their seats until the 15 minute mark. It was a televised game, and its point was to make a noticeable protest without resorting to a boycott or law breaking.

Boycott the food/ale/betting kiosks in the ground - don’t buy a single bloody pie or pint or stick a penny on at the bookies. Let them rot and throw all that shit in the bin. At least that way you can still support the lads whilst making a point to the owners that actually hits them in the pocket.
Take a flask of Bovril mind as it’ll be bloody freezing

All the same Coates won't do anything now.

What I simply cannot abide with is that there's absolutely no pride in the club. From top to bottom. I find it disgusting.
I fucking hate the fact that we just go to places like Chelsea and don't bother from the off. I'd rather we refused to play and take a 3-0 defeat than watch a bunch of cunts that couldn't give a single dusty fuck about the club just do enough to stop them getting stitch.
The club is riddled and rotten with apathy and has been for a long, long time.

Something that impacts the club in even a minor way is better than a few shitty pieces of A4 sellotaped together saying Hughes out. Surely you can cope one week without burning the crap out of your mouth on a meat and tater pie washed down with a rancid pint. Boycott the bloody program too.

Can we get this organised? Everyone buy a pie at the Newcastle game and in the 36th minute we’ll throw them all on the pitch. If Charlie Adam is playing he will mop them up.

What we absolutely must do is support the team for 90 minutes on Monday. Any kind of protest before or during the game can only have a negative effect on the players. After the game, fine, but the focus on Monday must be 100% support for the players to try to get the win we desperately need.
