......................Butland...................... Edwards.........Zouma......Shawcross.........Wimmer ................Allen......Cameron................. Ramadan................Shaq..................Choupo .......................Diouf.......................
Very hard on Crouchy, but easier to play for counter attacks with Diouf on top. Think Diouf is our fastest player too.
Subs: Grant, Tymon, Afellay, Fletcher, Jese, Crouch.

similar to the OP, but i'm going for a 442
Butland Edwards ShawX Zouma Wimmer Shaq Allen Cameron Choupo Diouf Saido
Swapping formations in the second half and the introduction of Afellay, Ramadan and 'possibly' crouch at the end if we need it

I know its only a game but fantasy premier league has him down as expected to return early Feb. Shame key element in improving our defence. Fucking great when you get more information on a game than from the club.

I'd start the team that finished the game bar Fletcher in for Diouf.
Huddersfield are good out wide and we'll need all hands to the pump down both flanks. Their midfield is very mobile. Allen will be very useful in this one further forward. Cameron against Mooy will be very important.

Butland Edwards Zouma Shawcross Pieters Allen Cameron Jese Shaqiri Choupo Berahino
Possibly Ramadan for Jese but I like the idea of a bit more pace in the front line

I'd give Berahino a start, we can't keep the same team for 4 games in ten days.
Positive performance and a win to paper over the cracks. Hughes proves he hasn't lost the dressing room and we're no longer sleepwalking to relegation.
Bingo!

I don’t care what formation we have as long as we have Cameron, Fletcher and Allen in a three then sub Fletcher for Adam or Afellay. We need athleticism to harass and cover for the cbs.

Agreed Tex but I'd prefer to start with Afellay to see what he can do and bring on Fletcher towards the end if needed.

I'd bring Berahino on with Crochy on 65. Got a feeling Bera would benefits from Crouchy's flick ons. He won nearly every one yesterday.

.................Jack............... Edwards.....Zouma....Ryan.......Eric ...........GCam........Allen........ Diouf............Shaq.........Choupo ...............Berahino.............
I'm not a fan of Crouch starting makes us to 1 dimensional. Fletcher has to be rested. Right now he's a liability.

Huddersfield 0 - 2 Stoke City
I did predict we’d beat WBA 3-1 so the Boxing Day result is a dead cert !

Three in central midfield is a must, as is Diouf for pace on the counter. If Erik is fit, he replaces Wimper at left back.
Butland
Edwards Zouma Shawcross Pieters
Cameron Fletcher Allen
Shaqiri Choupo
Diouf

Butland Edwards Zouma Shawcross Pieters Cameron Fletcher Allen Shaqiri Choupo Diouf I still think Fletcher can come back and have good games but right now he has to come out of the side, really struggling Afellay to come in

No reason we can't get three points Tuesday. Is it really an outlandish notion to win two in a row?

With the legs of Allen and Cameron I would put Charlie in there for this one.

Like that myself but id like to see Berahino get a start and then possibly bring Diouf or Crouch on depending how things are going. If Hughes is true to his form, we won’t see Berahino start this season unless we have a raft of injuries to all the CFs ahead of him the pecking order.

Think we need to stick to a 433. I'd go for:
Butland Edwards Zouma Shawcross Wimmer* Allen Cameron Fletcher+ Shaqiri Diouf Choupo
* If Pieters is still out. + Or Affelay
That looks more solid. Remember that neither Shqiri or Choupo are classic wingers in the touchline-hugging Pennant - Etherington mould and the front three can interchange in a fluid manner, perhaps with Shaq dropping into a No.10 role if need be. Playing a 'three' in midfield also allows Allen to drive forward to support the attack, as he did on Saturday.
From the bench, Sobhi can replace either of the wide forwards, and Crouch or Berahino for Plan B.

Wasn't Hughes quoted as saying that this was the season that we would see the real Saido Berahino. Can't keep signing players and not using them!
